This O2 sensor remover did not work for me. My sensors were really stuck and because the cutout on this remover is too wide, it kept skipping and rounded off the corners of the sensor. I imagine it would work on a newer car that's not too rusted. It is well build otherwise, I just wish the cutout was narrower, so it would retain it's stiffness.

A must have tool for getting stubborn oxygen sensors out of a vehicle. I was able to use this tool on a vehicle. The factory O2 sensor was stuck in the pipe and I could not break it loose with just a wrench. Low and behold I put this socket on which slid conveniently over the O2 sensor wiring and onto the hex part of the sensor. From there, I was able to use a breaker bar and easily break the sensor loose. The socket did its job and I do not have any complaints. We will see how long this socket holds up over time.

This O2 sensor removal socket is a solid, well-built tool with a decent weight to it, which adds to its durability and ease of use. It works far better than a regular wrench, especially when dealing with tight or stubborn sensors. The slotted design makes it easy to slip over the sensor wire, and the 3/8" drive provides good leverage. Overall, it's a great value and a handy tool to have for exhaust work or sensor replacement.

Most oxygen sensors do come out easy but my cars' were very stuck given the 30y old history. This made the job quite simple

This is an okay sensor socket. The slit is too wide to for it to be sturdy enough for those bolts that are highly torqued and gunked into place. I would recommend something sturdier if you are working on an older car with sensors that are really stuck. But, for the average and occasional use this is fine. You really do not need that wide of a gap. The wires on the sensors are not that thick. A thinner gap would make this a sturdier tool. This review is for the product listed as, “BLACKROBOT 3/8" Drive x 7/8" (22mm) Oxygen Sensor Socket CR-V Steel with Side Wire Cutout, O2 Sensor Remover and Installation, Tool for Vehicles, Car Repair Accessories."

The socket is basically an impact socket with part of the sidewall cut away to allow for the lead to the O2 sensor. It's rather beefy and seems quite strong.Considering the location of my O2 sensor, without this, my only other option would have been to use a crows foot wrench (something I've never had luck with) as I don't have room to turn a standard open end wrench. Couple that with the fact O2 sensors are generally a pain to remove due to the effects of the hot exhaust, using anything but this tool would have been an absolute nightmare. This thing has been both a knuckle and sanity saver for me. Definitely worth the investment.

Socket seems to be well made. Please note there is a cutout side of the socket for the oxygen cable. Because this is not a complete socket if the material is not strong or thick enough the socket can expand and round your oxygen sensor. This socket walls are nice and thick appears it will do the job. Please note if your oxygen sensor is seized, you are better off cutting of the wire and using a full sized 6 point socket and heat to remove the socket... then use this socket to put your new socket on.

I’ve replaced o2 sensors before by cutting the lead off and using a regular socket to get the old one out and then using a wrench to put the new one on. But with my current vehicle I don’t have space for the wrench method. So I looked up the size I needed and the auto parts store wanted a ridiculous amount. Found this on here and thought I’d give it a shot. Worked great and didn’t break or chip and that o2 sensor was TIGHT! Glad to have this for future use! Highly recommend
