This is a basic cable wiring tester and can determine any faulty or improperly wired cables. I saw that it does coaxial and assumed it was TV cables. This is not so - these are older style or specialized equipment BNC cables. This is actually written in the description, so it's my fault for not noticing. At least testing this tester with RJ45 and USB cables I can attest that it does indeed work and correctly determines fault vs parallel vs cross-over cables. For $20 at the time of writing you really can't ask more. However, perhaps for an upgraded model, i would love to see the tester also support mini, micro and USB-C, rather than just USB-A/USB-B.

Got this to test BNC cables. It’s accurate and easy to use. Before we would just put the cable in use to test and see if the cable was crimped properly. With this tester I can verify it’s done right before connecting the cable. The only item you will need is a 9v battery which is not included.Thank you for taking the time to read my review and photos of this product.
