Our wood post cap is made of quality aluminum, which has higher anti corrosion, anti rust ability for outdoor use, and will not cracking easily even in the case of high temperature exposure, providing a good protection for your fence posts.
Standard size:
These 6x6 metal post caps have a standard 5.63" x 5.63" size and are more suitable for nominal 6" x 6" (actual size is 5.5" x 5.5") posts, they will be more stable when install on nominal 6" x 6" posts, won't be blown off even in windy weather.

This is the perfect cap for a 6x6' post, whether clean-cut and sanded smooth, or rough and rugged. It is held in place with two included screws, looks good and seems to be very durable. We finished the 6x6' posts that our porch stairs use (8 in total) and these fit perfectly, went on easily, and look darn good. If you're looking for a way to finish off posts, these are just the thing.

time will tell but they survived a fall or two from my 30ft fire escape and don't seem to have any scratches. They look good, a lot better than bare posts.

These caps are heavy gauge aluminum. They should last longer than the post. It also nice that they come with screws that are painted.

Works as advertised. Solid metal construction. Small gap around the perimeter atop a 6x6, but adds a professional, finished appearance. Unknown how long the included black screws will last in pressure treated lumber.

These post tops fit snugly, and are secured by side mounted screws so rain and snow don’t get to the post top to rot it. They’re light duty but there’s no reason to believe you need anything heavier.
