To be honest, it works better than the original product and lasts longer. It doesn't get soaked in water and become soft. It is supported by a metal structure to ensure that it will last a long time. This product is recommended to replace the original product.

They say these work for the Evap40, but they do not. They fit loosely, and they wick water for three or four days and then fail. This is my third season with the Evap40 and I have used OEM filters in the past with great results (MD1-0034). I wanted to save a few bucks, and it ended up costing me a lot more than I saved. The OEM filters arrived today, and there is no comparison. Thicker and much larger holes for air. The OEM filters are soft while these filters are hard. You notice immediately when you install the OEM filters how quickly they suck up water. I'm disappointed but got what I paid for.

These do work, but the top edge get hard and crusty. The ones that came with our humidifier, didn’t seem to do that.

I'm a repeat customer as I change the filters in my Vornado humidifier approximately every 4-6 weeks. I like that 4 filters come in this pack. This particular humidifier is in my bedroom and runs 24/7 to add moisture to our very low Arizona humidity. I'll continue to purchase this brand.
