Haven't had the time to put this in the wall yet, but I'm excited to get the project going in a month or two. I'm moving a few things around the house, and once that's all cleared up this'll be good to go in.I like this set because it comes with everything you need to get going for an in-wall solution wallplate. There's the bracket you mount to the raw drywall to give the plate strength, then the banana clip piece, then finishing cover. If you want you can attach the banana clips to your wires, or you can attach to this wallplate with bare wire. Just twist open the speaker terminal, insert speaker wire, then retighten.See where you want to install the wallplate onto the wall, grab the black bracket and draw a line on the inside onto the wall, cut the line with a drywall blade, adjust the fitting, once fit, secure the bracket and mount to the wall, fish the wire, make connection to this wallplate's speaker terminals, screw in the speaker wire piece, then screw in the finishing wallplate cover. It's not overtly complicated, a bit of research and practice and you'll be all set! This set looks great, feels good to use, and would fit well in nearly every home theater set up. Highly recommend!

I like this kit. It comes with an “old work” low-voltage bracket with holes that make it easy to mark the wall for the opening. The binding posts on the plate work well. You could use banana plugs on both sides, but I found that it would push one side out about ⅛”. So, I decided to hard wire the in-wall side. It’s more secure and requires less parts. Four sets of posts are enough for all the surrounds in my 7.1 setup, but you could use 2 for the fronts and 2 for the surrounds if you are going 5.1. My only complaint is that the screw holes to attach the decorator plate are small/unthreaded and the screws aren’t pointy. So, it takes a little force and finesse to get them in. It’s a small thing, and I’m still happy overall.

This for speaker outlet cover has nice terminals on it that are gold-plated. They're pretty easy to get the wires locked down and have a good contact.

The DIYTECH 4 Speaker Wall Plate is a great addition to my home theater. The gold-plated binding posts provide a solid connection, improving audio quality. Installation was easy, and it gives my setup a sleek, organized look. If you're looking for a simple way to tidy up your speaker wiring, this wall plate is a must-have!

Well made, and useful for your home stereo and theater connections. Comes with the low voltage frame to put in the wall, and the wall plate with four pairs of connectors on it. You can use bare wires, spade lugs, or banana plugs to make speaker connections either inside the box or externally to the speakers. I think the plate is almond in color, so you may want to buy a white plate to match your home outlet and switch plates. It uses a standard size plate with the large opening. You'll also want to label the jacks somehow, so there isn't much room for that on the plate. This is made well and is fairly heavy. Should last a lifetime with normal use in a home. The jacks appear to be either brass or gold plated, and of good quality.

Quite a bit on the chintzy side in the material used for these banana plug couplers. They will work, and do conduct well, but the material just feels lightweight. For most of us AUDIO enthusiasts, we expect a bit more of the high end feel when it comes to our gear. If these were installed, you might never actually NOTICE the lightweight feel of the actual materials, and they would work reasonably well, but again, generally, we're a more demanding crowd. If you're on a tight budget, I can see these working.

Good quality wall plate for speakers. I got this for my home theater setup that I have for the basement. I already have a 5.1 system installed with a 5 channel wall plate. I was going to add 2 additional ceiling speakers and 1 additional subwoofer. The end result is a 7.2 system. It's a great wall plate. The quality is good, and there is a drywall jbox bracket included.I find it to be a good value for the money because you get the hookup faceplate, in addition to the wall bracket. The only downside is it's 4 channel not 5. So for most people it's great for a 4 channel music system, or like me, additional wall plate for larger home theater setup.I would recommend it!
