... and hope I never need to, but it is very reassuring to have one handy in my kitchen, near my computer equipment, and in my utility room near the dryer. I appreciated also receiving special gloves with them. Everyone should have a few around their home, just in case.

These fire blankets are a must have at home, in the shop or garage, in the RV, or anywhere you have open flame or combustable materials. One quick pull of the tabs and you have a totally fireproof large blanket to smoother a grease fire, stovetop fire, or to stop any small fire before it gets larger. Can also be used to smoother a persons clothes if they catch on fire for any reason.

Handle with caution!! I hung it up without even pulling the blanket out and got tiny bits of fiberglass stuck in my hands. Very irritating to my skin. Also one of the pull tabs ripped off immediately. Still better than a kitchen fire and I’m glad to have it. If I buy more, I will get a more expensive brand that hopefully contains the fiberglass a bit better and this is made sturdier..
