The other kit I got did not come with instructions, so this is an improvement if you’ve never installed one of these before. It’s plenty big for the average sized living room window I wanted it for, and the plastic is sturdy. Personally, I found it easiest to stick both Velcro halves together and attach them to the window frame, and then press the cut (slightly big in case of warping) plastic to the Velcro. Others might find it easier to attach the Velcro first to the plastic and then to the frame.Provides a useful amount of insulation against 16°f nights!

Easy to install and cut to size. Hook and loop had good adhesive. Definitely made a difference in how much cold air was getting in from the stained glass windows in an old church we bought. We bought another kit to finish the two windows we didn't have enough in this kit to do, and the plastic in the other kit was slightly opague and thin. This kit was much better quality, and we will be able to reinstall them over a period of many winter seasons since the plastic is so durable. Worth saving to reuse.

Pleased that the tape and Velcro worked so well. The plastic is a good quality for the price. Helps keep the cold out.
