I like these screws. They feel hefty and strong. I think they'll work great for my application.My only concern is that it appears the shaft is threaded into the ring. It's not totally apparent but it looks like that's the way it's constructed. I think it will be plenty strong but maybe it would be stronger if it was a single piece of metal. I'm not an engineer so I don't know much about it but I think it might be a weakness but I don't know.I would get these again and I like them.

The eye screws are good and strong. I am using them to hang a deer dressing winch from the rafters. There is some confusion in the description about the capacity. The specifications list max weight 850 pounds and the detailed description says 700 pounds. I don't know which is correct but I would use 700 to stay safe. The title calls them self tapping but I would use a 5/6 drill to make a hole to screw them into. 5/16 provided a good grip and did not strain or crack the wood when the screw was turned in. The stainless steel does not rust and these should give many years or service. They are well made and at $3.50 each they are priced competitively with similar eye screws. I deducted 1 star because of the errors in the description. I would order them again.

This is exactly what I was looking for to hang a hammock between two trees. These are made with 304 Stainless Steel and have a load capacity of 700 lbs. if installed properly. Installing them is straight forward since these have M10 Screw threads. Drill an 11/32" pilot hole approximately 3" deep, insert Eye Hook into hole and turn by hand until it becomes too difficult. At that point either use large Vise-Grip type pliers or you can put a large diameter screwdriver through the Eye Hook and twist the rest of the way into the hole. I expect these Eye Hooks will perform phenomenally.

Now here are some fairly big eye rings. They appear to be cast steel, and not machined. Manufacturer rates them at 700 pounds, and I believe it - they are really big and thick.The threads on the shank are a little less aggressive than I would have thought. And to get the full rated capacity of these, you'll want to use a properly sized pilot hole drilled into a good solid beam. The listing says "self-tapping design" but all that means is that they will cut their own threads. YOU need to supply the hole.Not sure why the picture shows 6 rings - the listing title clearly says this is a set of 5. That's a weird number when it comes to these, since you'll probably end up using them in pairs for stuff like hanging up swings or hanging chairs. But only you really know how you will use these.

This is a review of ALEXPRE Store's "5 Inch Heavy Duty Eye Hooks 6 Pack Stainless Steel Self Tapping Eye Bolts, Load Capacity 700LBS Heavy Duty Screw in Eye Hooks for Hammock, Swing, Yoga, Indoor & Outdoor Uses (M10)".These large and heavy duty, stainless steel eye hooks work well for constructing a very tight rope frame to hang my tarp system across. The inside of the eye hook loop is very smooth so there won't be any significant abrasion on the rope as it continuously gets rubbed against it by the buffeting winds. The eye hook screws are not going anywhere once they're completely screwed into the hardwood posts.I didn't test the maximum weight it can handle, but I don't doubt that they can handle the specified 700 pounds of vertical stress.The screws are NOT self-tapping (i.e. self-threading) screws. The screw tips have a well-defined, smooth point on the end. I deducted one star for this misrepresentation.The top of the loop can be pounded on to drive the screw point into the wood or better yet into a pilot hole in the wood. Once the screw is pounded in a little less than 1/2", the screw threads can be used to screw it in the rest of the way. Since I was using hardwood posts, I pre-drilled a pilot hole for the screw to avoid potential splitting that might be caused by the .39" diameter screw threading. To be on the safe side, I think that, for most uses, pre-drilling pilot holes would probably be helpful.

Great product. Held up holding my boat on the lift during hurricane Milton. The standard eye bolt screws that I previously had during hurricane Helene, pealed apart. Would highly recommend.

These will work great for the shade sail that I'm installing over our pool. These are nice heavy screw in eye bolts and should last a long time since they are stainless.
