I would not call this a safety or flotation device it's just a bag with a rope with a little bit of Styrofoam Don't think it will save anybody other than to pull them in not something to float with.

Small enough and I ordered it to have it on my inflatable boat just incase if needed as a safety measure.

This is a possible lifesaver. It’s a tiny little item that could save someone’s life. If you live anywhere near water or a pool or go out on boats then you need to keep something like this on hand just in case. This is not a big professional throw bag but it is a compact tool that can be stored easily and is long enough and strong enough to get someone out of the water within the range of the rope. You just anchor the metal carabiner to something strong and toss the rest of the bag to the person in distress. The ring is waterproof and floats well and it’s easy to see in any reasonable amount of light. While the translation of the directions is possibly the worst translation of anything I’ve ever seen, the actual materials the rope and carabiner are made of are strong enough for a simple rescue for a normal sized person. It’s easy to use and pack back up again for storage and it should work if you need it. If it ends up being used once then it’s easily a great value. I plan to keep this on hand for when we go to the lake just in case.

We frequently camp at the lake, so I got this to keep nearby. It looks like a decent kit, but the instructions written on the bag are horrible. Lots of misspelled words which is why I deducted stars.

I'm pretty pleased with this throw bag / rescue rope. Fortunately, I have no had to use it in a rescue situation, but I did test it out at the lake and it floats and appears to function as it's designed to. It's highly visible and reflective, so it should perform well in a rescue scenario. It's compact so it stores easily in my boat. I was a little surprised at how small the ring is... The pictures make it look like it's a life-preserver sized throw ring, but it's actually much smaller... like wrist sized, so I guess it's purpose is to help keep the rope afloat and provide a grab handle. I don't see this as an issue, but just something to be aware of since the pictures are a little misleading. Overall, I think that this is a good buy for the money and although I hope that I never need to use it, it's a good addition to my boat and potentially a life saver.I'd buy it again - Recommended.

Me and my two fishing buddies have our own Colorado pontoons and like to use it to fish on the rivers and lakes. I'm not a strong swimmer, and neither is one of my fishing buddies, so all 3of us picked up one of these and attached them to our pontoons, while keeping it in a pocket. Now if any accidents, tips, or falls happen, we are ready! Simply toss this a little further than where the person is in the water and they can grap the rope and come back to one of our pontoons to safety. It takes a special way to repack the rope so it doesn't get linked up next time, but it's really easy. I suggest watching a quick YouTube video as well on how to use these and repack them if you are new to these. Great quality as well, would definitely buy again if another fishing buddy joined our crew!
