This product seemed like a great idea, but in practice, it does not work well because you have to EXACTLY center this filter over the ONE camera lens you're filming on, or else the dark maximum point of the filter adds four harsh, arcing black lines to your shot (see photo). Most modern phones have multiple camera lenses, so it is difficult to know which camera lens is the one you need to center the filter on. Exactly centering anything by eye is not easy. Then if you decide to change which camera lens you're filming on, you have to move the filter to re-center it over that lens. This filter is just too finicky for practical use, except in a well-prepped and controlled studio environment.I really appreciate that this filter is a separate piece from the clip and has screw threads on BOTH sides of the glass, so you could stack this filter with other filters. I have stacked it on top of a 52mm circular polarizer filter. However, the screw threads on the back of this lens are 52mm, while the front threads are 55mm. This means you'd need different size filters for both sides. It includes a hard, compact carrying case, 2 different kinds of lens cloths, and a 55mm lens cap with an optional string to prevent losing it. The instructions are actually a sticker stuck to the inside of the case, which is handy to prevent losing them. They are surprisingly funny, both for their mistranslations and their sarcasm. The box says it is "MADEIN IN CHAIN".

I am so excited to get this product. My husband and I own a small piston low wing airplane. I love taking pictures when we fly. With the wings in the way it is hard to take photos on things on the ground. Because of that I like to take pictures out the front windscreen. The only problem is the propeller ruins every photo. With a neutral density filter I can change the amount of light coming in and with the speed of the prop spinning I can make it so the prop disappears completely. I had one of these many years ago before the cellphone cameras received multiple lenses and it worked great. Now that iPhone cameras have all of their lenses in a square a clip on filter of this size will work great in making the prop disappear. Our plane is getting a new paint job, but I will be sure to try this out when we get it back. The filter comes with the clip to attach it to your phone and the filter itself which screws on and covers all the lenses. And it also has a lens cap that easily snaps on a nice clam shell style storage box and a cleaning cloth. The quality feels great and I can’t wait to try it out.

This is an adjustable neutral density filter which does come in handy for some shooting situations.A neutral density (ND) filter, when clipped onto an iPhone for photography, reduces the amount of light entering the camera lens without affecting color or contrast. Here’s what it does specifically:1. Controls Exposure in Bright Conditions2. Enables Long-Exposure Effects3. Improves Video Quality4. Reduces Diffraction and GlareLimitations:iPhone computational photography (e.g., HDR, Night Mode) may counteract ND filter effects in auto modes, so manual control via apps is often needed. This is bulky as it's designed to screw onto a typical 35mm camera lens.Example Use Case: I found that shooting a beach scene on a sunny day, this filter let me use a 1-second exposure to blur waves into a misty effect, which would be impossible without overexposure otherwise.

I’m giving this two stars just because there is some kind of difference. The pictures I have uploaded are at almost maximum and minimum setting. Actually, the absolute maximum setting is faulty because it does get blurry and you can see the slides inside. They kind of look like when you look through a kaleidoscope. Nothing up close looks different, so the object has to be far away. For my pictures, you can see the only real difference is in the sky, and even then, there’s barely a difference. But if you look at the pictures I have of the lens, you can see a big difference that just does not come through in the pictures. It comes with a cute little carrying case, white cloth, and a lens cover. I always wanted to try one of these lenses, so I was very excited and hopeful. I won’t be purchasing this type of product in the future. Please look at my pictures and decide for yourself.

Okay, to be honest this is a bit fidgety but it does work. I don't have much experience with ND filters...most skylight, UV and Circular Polarizing filters. I took a few pictures but I really didn't notice much difference. However, I am going to order a 52mm Circular Polarizing filter to give it a go.The kit includes a nice case to carry the adapter and the ND Filter. It came with a microfiber cloth but no instructions.
