Nice, functional addition to my espresso setup. Heavy duty, quality construction. Makes tamping a breeze if using a single spout portafilter or one with no spouts like mine.

Many products together in this rating, mine was for the plastic Tamper Station. The design is just poorly executed. It is super-light, so the handle of the portafilter wants to catapult this thing forward. You need to hold it the whole time. I was hoping I could set the portafilter down for a second, but there is no way. The 51mm portafilter was super loose and wobbled in the extra space. The set-screw is worthless and did not extend enough to do anything. I tried it with a 58mm portafilter (there is a removable sleeve), but that one was way to tight. My Rancilio would not sit in unless I forced it down. With the 58mm, same issue with the set-screw. It is just not tall enough to be functional. The recessed tool holders are way to shallow to be effective. The overall look was good, but I see zero value in this.

It’s not the most beautiful. But it’s functional, easy to clean grounds out of and gets the job done. Other stands are crazy expensive so if you’re looking for something cheap and straight forward, this is for you.
