This socket was perfect for changing spark plugs on a 92 Corvette. The Corvettes tight interior makes it hard to change these. But with the help of this tool, I was able to get them out without hardly any trouble. They fit perfectly onto the spark plugs and were able to remove them with little to no effort. I did have to use an Angled ratchet but needed this end of it as well. In order for it to be as easy as it was. It seems highly durable and has not even had a scratch since I’ve used it. Overall, I would highly recommend, especially if you have a car with tight spaces under the hood. Definitely worth it for the price too.

Literally works perfect for BOSCH FR7HE02 Copper With Nickel Spark Plugs. Fits perfect and it grips the plug perfectly as well-- for inserting it and removing it with no issues.Great product, that works as expected and to perfection. The quality also feels pretty good too! It feels and seems like it can last a good bit, even with the inner grip staying in-tact. In fact, I feel like the inner rubber-like grip even helped me remove the spark plug more easily because the plug was about 80-100k miles old, totally toasted, and needed to come out.At this price, this HAS to be one of the better sockets you can get ($8.10 at time of this review). It's a solid choice, and at super bare minimum, it gets the job done.Well-made socket mates. Kudos to the designers and creators.

The pgroup 5/8" Spark Plug Socket is a high-quality tool designed for the safe and effective removal and installation of spark plugs in a variety of vehicles. This socket is engineered with a 3/8-inch drive and features a 6-point design, made from chrome vanadium steel for added durability and strength. Below is a detailed review of the product based on its design, performance, and overall value.1. Design and Build Quality:Pros:The socket is crafted from chrome vanadium steel, a material known for its strength, corrosion resistance, and durability. This ensures that the tool will last for a long time, even with frequent use in tough environments. The 6-point design provides a stronger grip on the spark plug, minimizing the risk of slippage and damaging the plug or the socket itself. This is especially useful when working with older or corroded spark plugs. The chrome finish gives the socket an attractive, polished look, while also offering rust resistance and making it easier to clean after use.Cons:While chrome vanadium steel is tough, it is also heavier than other materials, so this socket may feel a bit bulkier than those made from lighter materials. However, the weight is a minor trade-off for the increased strength and durability.2. Size and Compatibility:Pros:This socket is designed for 5/8-inch spark plugs, which is a common size for many vehicles, including domestic and import cars, as well as motorcycles and small engines. This makes it a versatile option for most standard spark plug removal and installation tasks. The 3/8-inch drive is a common size for many ratchets and breaker bars, making it compatible with a wide range of tools in your existing collection.Cons:If you're working with spark plugs of a different size, this socket may not be suitable. However, this is a minor drawback, as 5/8 inches is a standard size for many vehicles.3. Ease of Use:Pros:The 6-point socket design ensures a secure grip on the spark plug, allowing you to apply sufficient torque without worrying about rounding the edges of the plug. This is especially important when dealing with tight or difficult-to-remove plugs. The 3/8-inch drive provides a perfect balance of power and control, allowing you to easily use the socket with a ratchet or breaker bar to remove or tighten spark plugs without excessive force. Its deep design also makes it easy to reach spark plugs that are recessed in hard-to-reach areas, providing access for a more comprehensive spark plug service.Cons:The deep socket design might be slightly too long for very tight or cramped engine bays. If the spark plugs are located in particularly confined spaces, you may need an extension or different socket to gain access.4. Durability and Performance:Pros:The chrome vanadium steel construction ensures that this socket can handle high torque levels, making it perfect for stubborn spark plugs or those that have been in place for a long time. The socket’s design is specifically optimized for spark plug servicing, offering an excellent combination of strength, precision, and reliability.Cons:While the material is highly durable, like any steel-based tool, it could still be subject to wear if dropped or exposed to extreme stress repeatedly. However, this is typical of most hand tools and should not be a significant concern with regular care.5. Value for Money:Pros:The pgroup 5/8" Spark Plug Socket is a cost-effective option for anyone needing a reliable tool for spark plug maintenance. Its high-quality construction ensures that it performs well and lasts, making it a good value for both DIYers and professional mechanics alike.Given its affordable price relative to other spark plug sockets, it offers excellent performance-to-price ratio for anyone in need of a dependable spark plug tool.Cons:Some higher-end sockets may come with additional features such as a magnetic insert to hold the spark plug in place, or a rubber insert to prevent damage. While the pgroup socket does not have these features, it still offers great value for the price.6. Overall Performance:Pros:The socket does exactly what it's supposed to do: securely grip and help remove or install 5/8-inch spark plugs. Its durable construction, affordable price, and ease of use make it a reliable addition to any toolset. It performs well in both professional settings and for DIY car repairs, making it a versatile and essential tool for anyone working on spark plugs.Cons:While the socket is solid, those who require extra features (such as magnetic inserts for spark plug retention or special coatings) may need to look at more premium options. For basic maintenance, however, this socket is highly effective. Conclusion:The pgroup 5/8" Spark Plug Socket is a solid choice for anyone looking for a durable, cost-effective tool to service spark plugs. Its chrome vanadium steel construction, 6-point design, and 3/8-inch drive make it suitable for a wide range of vehicles and spark plug removal tasks. The socket is easy to use, performs well under pressure, and is backed by a reasonable price that offers great value for the money.Whether you're working on a car, motorcycle, or small engine, this spark plug socket will serve you well for many years of routine maintenance. It’s an excellent option for those who need a reliable tool without breaking the bank, but those seeking extra features may want to explore more premium options. For most users, the pgroup 5/8" Spark Plug Socket is a dependable, straightforward tool that gets the job done.

I look at many 5/8” sockets and I’ve used quite a few. This socket works great, looks and feels well made. I especially like the shorter size to help navigate around headers. So far so good and I think it’s a great buy

I could not get my snowblower started this year and wanted to change the spark plug. But alas, I did not have a socket deep enough to fit over the plug. I saw this and ordered it and came within a few days. depth was perfect and I easily removed and replaced the spark plug.Overall, worked as it should and had a nice heft and fell of it. Depth was perfect and etching were clear. So overall, I give it a 5 star. Met my needs perfectly and is nice add to my toolbox
