12-point thin wall 14mm spark plug socket is a special tool designed to remove 12-point spark plugs from certain,compatible vehicles. It designed with metal retainers to hold the spark plug in the socket.
Special leaf spring design to clip the spark plug
Because magnets can sometimes break or fall off of sockets and o-rings can sometimes grip too tightly, this socket was specially designed with a metal leaf spring retainer system which holds the spark plug firmly in place, but still allows for easy removal.

They don't have a magnet in them like I thought. They have a stupid little springy thing that supposedly grabs the spark plug. It worked for my first job I used it and then it's all gaped out. And I lost the other one lol

Was growing really frustrated with not being able to get my plugs out. Read reviews and decided to try these. Saw some bad reviews but for the price, I decided to take a change. I'm glad I did. They worked well. My specific application was a 2019 Cadillac XT4. The 14mm was perfect an worked great. They are indeed low profile. Mine had the spring clips and they worked well. I would no hesitate at all to buy them again if needed.

Pro: they look nicely built. They are light, thin wall that can fit any spark plug tubes easily. Good price.Con: there is metal plate spring clamp inside of them. So they hold the spark plugs very tight, so when you remove the spark plugs, you will never drop the spark plugs with these sockets, but when you install the spark plugs, you have to use a extension bar with lock, otherwise you may have hard time to get the socket off of the spark plug.

I purchased these to replace spark plugs on a BMW. I was unsure of the design to hold the plug as I thought it was thin rubber and wasn't sure how long these would last. The tangs are made of metal and really snap onto the plug yet let go easily when done installing. This design is much better then my rubber gripped spark plug sockets I've always used.

These actually worked awesome, the way they hold the spark plug it sort of lightly snaps in just enough to hold the spark plug (great where you need to lower it into a recessed hole). You don't have to worry about those rubber pieces staying on the plug when you remove the socket like some plug sockets use. Great price and better than more expensive options.
