This part is supposed to be a fit for Briggs & Stratton part number 595554 (ignition coil) that came off a Troy-Built lawn mower. Part bolts on fine and gapped fine. Wire was a little shorter than original coil. Mower would not start. I replaced the old coil back on the mower and it started on the first pull!I will be returning this paperweight.

Like another reviewer said - it only measured 5.8 ohms, and it didn't work on my Murray mower that had an e550 engine. I should have taken note from amazon that it's frequently returned. Mine was probably one of the returned ones.
