It can be hard to find a replacement plug that isn’t kinda big and wonky because you have to fit all the screws and stuff inside to hold the wires in place. That being said, this worked just fine and it’s hidden inside a junction box, so nbd.

These are a great, well designed and made electrical product that solves all sorts of plug and cord inconvenience issues in tight spots, or just keep clutter neat, organized and safely managed. Lots of tiny little design features that indicate professional expertise at designing wall plugs and cord management the way they should be, safe, secure and neat.

Highly versatile. You can use this male receptacle to build your own wiring extension cord or you can repair a damaged one. The fit is perfect. Use a little bit of silicone to make it water proof. Build quality is good and installation is easy. As for the value I think this is reasonable priced.

Good stuff:* Easy to wire up.* Big, solid chunk of plastic. Easy to grip, plug, and unplug.* Internal screw terminals for solid connection.* Rotates a full 360 in 30-degree increments.* Can be FULL disassembled -- after removing the internal back cover, the pins slide right out. Good for cleaning or if you need to fully wrap the wire around its screw.Minor complaints:* Plastic shell is not very thick by construction standards. It's fine for home use, but don't put it where it will be impacted or driven over often.* Likewise, pulling on the cable (shut up, we all do it ;) will cause sideways stress on the plug and the outlet rather than just unplug.* Plastic shell is smooth, with no ridges or finger-grips of any kind.* Plug part can only be rotated during assembly. Once the screw is tightened, the plug will no longer rotate.

I was very impressed with this plug when used to repair an outdoor extension cord. The quality is excellent, and it is very easy to wire. A single screw attaches the plug unit to the back shell, and two other screws clamp the cord in the strain relief. The plug unit can be assembled into the right-angle back shell in one of 12 different orientations so that the cord can be pointing in the desired direction when plugged into an outlet. Note that the orientation must be selected at the time of assembly; the plug does not swivel after installing into the back shell. The wires insert into the plug unit using back-entry terminals; simply strip the wires as shown in the instructions, insert into the back of the plug assembly and tighten the side clamping screws. I've used many different repair plugs in the past and this ranks near the top in terms of ease of wiring. That, along with the selectable orientation of the right-angle back shell, makes this an excellent value. I highly recommend it.

90 degree plugs are wonderful at keeping AC cords from sticking straight out from a wall socket, especially when those cords are thick and heavy. This DEALTUS plug does exactly that and a bit more. This plug is approved to handle a maximum of 20 Amps which means it can be wired with a large 12 AWG wire, or it can be used with a smaller gauge wire. This DEALTUS plug is superior to many right angle (90 degree) plugs that I have used in the past as this plug is designed to allow the installer to rotate the wire exit relative to the prong position. When this plug is wired and assembled, the angle of the wire relative to the socket it’s plugged into can be rotated in 30 degree increments, or 12 positions like the hour hands on a clock. This angle can be changed at any time by removing the plug from the wall and disassembling the plug (only one screw on the back) and readjusting to the desired angle. It should be noted that this rotation design allows full current capacity of the plug regardless of which of the 12 positions is chosen. The robust plug affords a good grip when inserting, and especially removing, the plug from a socket. The single sheet instructions provide a lot of information in a small space, including:NEMA configurations 5-15 and 5-20 (15 and 20 amp), Maximum wire size is 12 AWG, Torque for tightening wire terminal screws is 1.6 N-m or 14lbf-in, and there is also a wire strip gauge drawing.

At $8 this ETL NEMA male plug is a little expensive. But it seems well made. The plastic is good. The metal connectors are good. But the screws are poor. Be careful not to stripped them using a normal philips screwdriver (they don't fit the screw head too well.) Also it will be very tight getting the cable outside the plug since there is not much space, This design has ability for the head to rotate to allow you to config the desire position (nice!)
