Nice lasers for the money! I am using 4.5VDC to power these (3 LR44 batteries in series) and they are very bright. The crosshairs are easy to see and the lens focus adjustment works very well. Using these for a project I am working on and so far they are holding up well in my prototype.

Affordable but the laser beam is distorted. I put this on a cnc plasma table and as I would try to focus the it to a small point it would consistently mess up. I messed with it till I was over it and settled for what I knew I could live with for now. Put some silicone on the end so it would move a walked away! I guess there are 4 more in the package to mess with if I just can't take the imperfect beam at some point! Ultimately it functions, was affordable and was fast on the shipping. I'll live to see another day and the machine is up and running!

One arrived without the lens, making it useless. Another was flickering in and out the second it was turned on. The one thing that can be nice about these is that the focus is adjustable. That is nice if you want a sharp point at a specific distance, but for use-cases with the distance of the beam may vary, it's actually a problem because the point will shift into a short line if it's further or closer than the distance you set the lens focus to.

Not all of the samples will focus well at the same distances. Without the lens the dot is much larger than expected which may be the cause. Usability depends on your purpose. The picture shows 5 at the same time in a square pattern to show the differences

Bought these to use as a locator for a cnc router. They are plenty bright enough to use for this where they will only be a foot or so above the surface they are projected on.I am using a battery holder with two AA batteries and a power switch which powers them just fine.One odd thing is I had one of them that would not focus and had wide lines. Turns out the internal lens that screws into the laser body was installed backwards. Screwed it out, turned it around and reinstalled,and it would focus to a fine crossed lines. Once at a fine focus I may put a drop of silicone to keep the focus ring from moving.But worked well and will do what I need. Recommended.
