After returning the first one that had crooked inserts in one of the poles. The second one had two crooked inserts but a bit less crooked. I am going to live with it because my laser auto levels anyway. Aluminum joints are always going to have some sticking, so I will put some anti-seize on the threads. I might even try to press one of the crooked inserts in properly, maybe with heat applied to soften any adhesive that might be there. I like how the pole goes down into the tripod unlike other brands. It allows lower positions of the laser and was part of my decision to live with slightly crooked pole sections. I have used this same model my son had and really like the versatility. We even used it horizontal in a stair well. The foot-set tension is nice. Bag is a bit flimsy but spacious and organized. The poles are numbered if you need the tick marks aligned and it might prevent sticking if they are always put together in order.

Pole is sturdy, tripod is a plus. By far the best laser stand concept. No instructions of any type. Measurement marks on pole sections are close on a section, worthless section to section. Throw the bag away, far too small poor material. Most parts are plastic won’t stand up to job site use. Use gently! This could be very good if metal instead of plastic. Replacement parts probably don’t exist. But it’s Chinese, substandard material is typical.

i have received them with all the treads broken. I didn't even have a chance to use it at least once. i dont return it, it because it will cost more money than i have spent on them. guys, if you have money to waste, you can buy it.

I have no issues with taking the pole apart. It works great and I highly recommend this product.
