i ordered 12 volt units but instead i got 5 volt units i found out when i fried the first one with 12 volts ithaught about returning them but 5 volt is duable for me i can make them work anyway other than them not being the correct voltage they work pretty good

So tried 5v nothing tried 12v and hot side got hotter, the cold side was less cold then an ice cubeNo way these could cool an aluminum block for water cooling. I used a PC heat-sink with a fan for this the whole time for cooling the hot side of the component cooler.Not sure what is wrong as there are zero instructions to assist with using these. Putting all 5 in series did not produce any lowering of temperature then just the single unit. But these work great for making a hot pad to keep a drink warm on or burn the heck out of you with out a heat-sink.Tried one on a heat-sink for 60 minutes to see if it would get cold and the silicon busted and was super hot as the sink burnt my fingers and melted the fans housing some... So tried this water cooler using 3 chips water goes in the blue side to cool through the ex-changer out to the hot side the silver block then into the water tank. Using the RATED voltage of the chip but it does not get cold. What voltage besides 12 would work better?

I bought these for replacement in my wine cooler which had one of two cooling units go bad. After swapping out the OEM for one of these it wouldn't get as cold as the OEM. So, I tried two others from the batch with the same result. I finally bought another peltier from a seller on ebay and it immediately got as cold as the OEM peltier. Something was wrong with the batch I bought here.
