Need 8, the first 4 work perfectly for my improvised use, I needed a very strong bracket that wasn't too long. Ordering the next package now. Glad that I was able to find what I needed to make my very expensive barn door hardware (and my very expensive, already stained doors) work with my peculiar framing situation.
