These rail brackets are light weight and easy to install workout losing sturdiness. These can hold a significant amount of weight. We installed one into a stud of course and I had my son (who is 6ft tall and weighs 254lbs) put all of his weight on it and it only gave slightly so these will most assuredly do the job!
