Looks much better in photos. Sturdily made. The quality seems great.

These solar charging carriage lights on a pole make the front yard look classy. It was easy to assemble by following the instructions. The unit is rather lightweight and the base is very narrow. You will need to either attach the base to something like some crossties, or find some way to anchor the base. I used a concrete half block to slip over the base and filled the gaps with stones, which is more than adequate for stability. We had a strong wind storm come through Houston the night after I set it up, and it held fine in the wind. The three lights illuminated the area in my garden spot and stayed on almost the entire night. The price is not bad for what you get, and there is currently a $5 coupon available toward the purchase.

I got one of these to help light the walkway outside of our vacation rental. It's got a warm glow at night, and it looks cute by day. Once I put it up to try it out, though, I kinda wanted one for my house, too! It was really easy to put together, and it seems like it will hold up well. The fact that it is solar-powered makes maintenance easy, and it has produced an all-night glow even after cloudy days.I'm tempted to just place it out in the middle of our woods like some Narnian welcome, but I will probably do the responsible thing and keep it to light our guests' path.

I’m giving this five stars. But read to the end because this isn’t for every situation. I put this together in ten minutes. Maybe less. It is super easy and best of all it required NO TOOLS. Not even one of those stupid little allen wrench style screw drivers that are often included. The pole screws together using silver threaded rings. Unlike another review that I saw, I had no problem. HINT: screw the ring in half way on one pole and then join the next pole to that. Do the same thing again and then join those two doubles together. Add your base. The globe is well designed and simple also. Two hints here: First be sure to turn on the switch one each lamp. Then attach the top post before adding the globes. This keeps them from sliding through the track and back out. The bulbs are already installed and two extras are included. Now, why it may not be the right lamp for you. If you are picturing a heavy iron lamp that lights up your entire yard, this is not the one you want. On the other hand, if you want a decorative, attractive and simple addition to your yard or garden this may be perfect. But note: it is designed to attach to cement. In fact hardware is included for that. I do think drilling would be necessary though. But I am not doing that. I am planning to use a half barrel planter attaching the pole to the bottom and filling with dirt around it. Add flowers and viola! If that does not work out for some reason I will update. I plan to use this in a shadowy area near my house where it will look really nice but doesn’t require a lot of light output. I took the light outside during the day so that it could charge. That evening it popped on as designed. It’s very attractive. It doesn’t provide a huge amount of light; but as a decorative accent, with an added benefit, it is excellent.

I had no trouble putting these solar lamp post lights together, and they were simple to install. Mine stays on through most of the night. My only complaint is the size; they look smaller on the post than I expected.

I need to explain this photo for you to understand how impressive this photo actually is! I had put the light together (it’s an easy installation) and as I was doing other things and a storm popped up…I had to put the lamp post down on its side safely….to return to put it up the next day. Unfortunately, the storm held in a couple days, so I wasn’t able to install it upright during that time…so, there it sat…on its side and getting very little if any sun i imagined between the storms and its position (pointed south). However, there you see it…lit up quite nicely! This is by far the best functioning solar product I’ve ever had! The idea it contained any charge…let alone burned long into the wee hours, that’s amazing! It’s also sized right…it’s not the sort of light in cities that loom feet over vehicles…but, it’s perfect for a home setting to tie a ribbon onto for different occasions and certainly for adding a good amount of lighting to your area!
