Bought this to fix hard starting issue. After installing this carburetor it would only run with the choke set, once released engine would rev very high. No adjustment on carburetor except for idle speed which did not help. Ended up cleaning old carburetor and reinstalling and problem was fixed.

Only reason for 4.5 stars instead of 5, for my 2006 model, the throttle adjustment is not as good as original, in that, it won't idle down as low and the electrical connector is in a different spot. Otherwise, lawn tractor runs like a champ again. Good value for the price ! The filters and plugs are a nice addition. Saves time and money

Bought this as a "this is the last time I'm fixing this mower" repair, and I can't be mad at all. Low price for the whole kit, paid more for plug and oil change at tractor supply not 2hours before this. Everything fit, only thing that was missing was the intake gaskets. Would highly recommend.

The produce was exactly the same as the original. It fit perfectly and very easy to install (although am really mechanically inclined). My original carburetor wouldn’t function at all. After I installed the new unit, it idled perfectly, ran full throttle perfectly and I am so so happy!!

Although the description specifically says is fits a 445577 (my engine model) it required modification to work on my engine. Two main issues were there was no provisions for a return spring on the choke lever and the choke system totally worked in reverse. I installed the carb and the engine was very hard to start with full choke applied, I ended up have to give it a shot of starting fluid. Once running it was smooth and the engine would idle like it did when it was new. Once I got to mowing, when the mower was under load it was running really rich, blowing out tons of black smoke and wanting to stall. Posted a question and got several great replies about the choke linkage. Pulled it back in the shop and removed the carb. That is when I figured out the choke was working in reverse. Much like another reviewer had to do, I removed the choke shaft and flapper/butterfly from my old cab and installed it in the new carb. I also added a small external return spring to the choke linkage. With these 2 modifications the engine started right up and ran perfectly. Had I not had a box of HF springs and an old carb to rob parts off of, this would have been returned.

I was told not to waste my money on the Chinese carburetor. My Z425 J.D. runs great after pulling the old carb off 4 times and cleaning it. The new carb comes with all the gaskets, 2 fuel filters, both air filters, everything you need. I put it all together, hit the switch and it fired right up! It runs like new for being 11 years old! Way worth the money!! If it goes bad in some years from now, I will buy another one! YouTube showed me how to take apart and put back together!!
