making abelskiver has always been on my to do list. I have been on the lookout for a good pan at flea markets for years. I took a chance on ordering this one online, and was not disappointed.

This product seems really well made and came well packaged, but on trying it out, our induction range doesn't see it. Returned.

Really nice pan . Very heavy and sturdy. Holes are a good size and well spaced . The vertical sides on the bottom of the pan make it quite sturdy . Was very well packed and arrived promptly so highly recommend the seller

This aebleskiver pan is made of solid cast iron, a material known for adding to temp stability when cooking. Mine arrived pre-seasoned and ready to cook. I gave it a good rinse in hot water (never scrub well seasoned cast iron cookware), dropped it on my gas stove, and started cooking! I read the comments before purchasing this pan, and noticed some folks were complaining about a rough finish or sticking problems. If you use plenty of oil or butter (about a dime to nickle size dose in the bottom of each cup) and coat the cup walls using a pastry brush, you won't have a sticking problem. Once you get the pan up to temperature, you can back-off your burner heat and the pan will maintain the proper cooking temp. That's the nice thing about cast iron. Given enough mass (and this pan has plenty of it), you'll get good temp stability. If you're looking for a great value in an traditional style aebleskiver pan, give this one a try. I think you'll like it!

This pan has very sharp edges both on top and on the bottom. Scratched my glass top stove just by putting it on my stovetop. Also very heavy. I usually love cast iron products, but this one is not that great.

Glad I purchased it for my collection. I haven't used it yet, but I seasoned it and got it all ready to go and it looks beautiful. Hangs over the large standard burner on my electric stove and that is a little bit of concern for me. I will update if it turns out to be a problem. So far... so good.

As with all cast iron pans, this one required a good bit of seasoning before use. I used a few coats of flaxseed oil and a 500 degree oven. After that, it worked just great. The lip on the side is sufficient to hit my electric range, but the bottom is shaped just like the inverse of the top, so if you have smaller burners this could be an issue. Then again, it's cast iron and holds heat well, so even if you have to balance it on a smaller burner I think it would be fine.

Not of best quality and very expensive when shipping is included. As cast iron needs conditioning before use to make it non-stick
