This product is the best product for nest that I found I have golden finches. I tried yarn, and one bird got its foot caught in the yarn even though I cut it up small don’t use yarn uses lightweight string.

I really like the quality and my birds love it too. They don't get tangled in it like they do with some other brands/types of nesting material. I feel safe leaving these in my birds cage because I know they will not get tangled and hurt themselves.

Good value. You get 4 boxes. Boxes have a bendable metal clasp on the back that that you wrap around the bars on the cage which make the box a dispenser. I have used this for finches and parakeets. I will buy this again.

Birds did not care for the nesting material . . .they pecked at it and then dropped it. Not one strand was used.

My goofy canary has a wonderful time throwing these strands around her cage. She likes a spartan nest but loves making a mess so they have entertainment value for her and me. You may have a more normal bird with better nest-building skills. Tightly packed little white cotton strands. Clean and no odor so I think the product is sanitary.
