Tape that was put on both ends is impossible to remove. It left sticky glue when removed.

Super sturdy, I saw a review that said it will not fit every hot-shoe/coldshoe device, Some people don't realize almost every hot/coldshoe mount have 2 directions to install, I always install a mini ball on this item, you can get them under $2 each. Not only that but you will be able to swivel 360 degrees and mount items at 90 degrees. Anyway this item is awesome and super sturdy so you can mount plenty of things on it, both hanging and on top.

Very strong and stays tight on my DSLR (I use a Canon 60D). My only problem is that it's flashtrack apparently isn't universal with all mounts...I purchased this to use it with my DSLR at night with a lens and a light. However, the light and mic won't fit into the flashners. So I'm going to have to purchase a $20 mount piece per item...which is ridiculous.Other than that, it's a strong product.
