I'm a big fan of these hinges. They are ideal for a strong, sturdy, table extension which is my intention. The hinges fold a full 180°. They are packed fully closed with the screws inside the hinge. There is a spring loaded lock lever inside the hinge that releases the lock when you press it down. You have to hold the lever down to be able to adjust the hinge angle. There are 3 angle settings to adjust to, closed, 90°, and open, 180°.There are little notches at each angle setting that the spring lock will snap into when you release the lever. So with the strong lock, you can actually have a hinged table top that can open at 90° and hold some weight.Pack of 8 is a great deal as these hinges have tons of uses.
They work great !

Wow, these are heavy duty and sturdy.More than I expected.I use mine for a small folding table on the wall. It's place where there's higher traffic, so it's nice to be able to fold down at any time.

These are some stout brackets. They are heavy steel and lock securely into place. I don’t think there is any chance of these slipping out of whatever position you put them in, two spring pull redundant duty to ensure that. The lever has a nice plastic cap that is comfortable on the fingers and gives it a finished look. The only reason not to give a full five stars is that they aren’t quite 90 degrees as you would expect. I tried to capture that in the picture where you can see white paper through the gap. When weight is applied it does close this gap but that took more effort than just a table top would provide. All in all these are versatile brackets that have solved one of my camper design problems.

These are the hinges that you need when you want to build a folding table, folding tray folding bed, or anything that tilts or pivots. It has many applications for use in building an RV. It can also be used in certain situations such as on a deck, back patio, barbecue grill, and many other locations. The hinges are very strong and appear to handle their rated capacity of 500 lbs. I haven't stressed them to that point yet, but they do appear strong enough to handle very heavy weights, such as with a Murphy bed.Although they are painted, they may be prone to rusting, especially if they are scratched. So, I am not sure that I would use these for outdoor applications unless I plan to touch them up with paint periodically. Other than that, these hinges are the best that I've found and are a really good deal.

At first, I thought this hardware had a lot of play but I was mistaken. When locked, a 28" leg only moved an inch at the bottom. The steel thickness is more than adequate and the final installation proved sturdy. I used 2 brackets to add 2 legs to a single pedestal red oak table to add ridgidity to a table that wobbles a lot. As I'm using this table for photography, it had to be more stable. When company comes, it just takes seconds to unlock and swing the legs out of sight. These are spring loaded so they stay locked in one of 3 positions. The only negative of this set are the screws; a #5 x 5/8" flathead isn’t enough, especially as this design has no brace. I would recommend a #8 x 3/4" panhead wood (not sheet metal!) screw for both the leg side and the top side, providing the top is the usual 3/4" thick. I'd alsorecommend at least a 2-1/2" leg width at the top.

I got these brackets to convert an old work table into a foldable work and outfeed table, and they worked perfectly. Like a lot of people, I have a small garage workshop where space is limited. I had seen plenty of videos of people with folding tables that could store flat against the wall, and I wanted something similar. I needed a solution that would be easy to put away when not in use while still being sturdy and reliable when set up. These brackets did exactly that.In my setup, the brackets are not supporting the full weight of the table, so I cannot speak to the maximum load capacity. However, they are definitely strong enough to hold the legs securely and show no signs of sagging. When folded, the legs stay firmly in place and the table rests neatly against the wall.Installation was simple, and the folding mechanism is easy to operate. One small note: the release tab can sometimes ride up a bit high, which makes it a little harder to get a finger underneath. That said, I can usually slide it back down from the side without much effort. There is no wobble or looseness in the brackets at all, at least in my current setup. The build quality feels solid, and they perform exactly as needed. I'm very satisfied and would absolutely use them again in future projects.
