This is exactly what I needed for my work area in my shop. I was going to just get a anti-fatigue mat but this is great. It's like the professional mechanical shops have to work around the cars. If something gets spilled, it goes in the holes and doesn't create a slip danger. However, it's easy to roll up so I can sweep underneath it.

This floor mat is nice outside where things get wet a lot, like near the hose for cleaning things. Top surface has good bumpy grips, and drainage channels below so water doesn't pool up. It works without shoes though bumps are a little uncomfortable. Bumps and supports underneath are offset so there is more padding and give when standing on it. Cleaning is easy by spraying off, and being able to lift and spray underneath is great. Pretty heavy weight and stays down well. Might also work under containers to protect from condensation/water on the floor, though the bumps on top might dig into the surface if it's just cardboard. Noticeable rubber smell.
