Utilisé avec mon MacBook Air M1 pour du montage video, je profite de débit beaucoup plus rapides qu’avec mon Samsung T7. (Pratiquement 3000 en lecture / écriture avec un M2 Samsung 990 Evo Plus de 2To). D’après ce que j’ai compris, ça pourrait être plus rapide, mais c’est dû au contrôleur de la puce M1. Cependant, c’est largement assez rapide pour travailler sur Final Cut avec de « gros rushs », sans ralentissement (ce qui arrivait de temps en temps avec le T7).Je n’ai pas du tout remarqué que le boîtier chauffait fort, à tel point que je ne sens pas l’utilité d’allumer le ventilateur. Ce dernier fait un petit peu de bruit, mais il suffit de l’éloigner avec le cable plutôt long (par exemple le placer derrière votre écran) et le bruit devient vraiment très faible. Pour moi qui déteste les bruits de soufflerie et qui aime travailler dans le silence total, ce n’est pas vraiment gênant (surtout quand on fait du montage video, puisqu’on va forcément entendre du son des rushs).C’est donc un bon produit, peut-être un peu cher quand même à l’heure où le Thunderbolt 5 arrive, mais ça reste quand même intéressant quand on voit le prix du stockage chez Apple ou chez des vendeurs de SSD externe qui propose du Thunderbolt…

Caja ideal para montar un SSD NVMe que te dé la suficiente velocidad para trabajar incluso con grandes archivos de vídeo sin ninguna pérdida de rendimiento ni necesidad de utilizar proxies. Yo la estoy usando con un Kingston NV3 para un Mac Mini M2 Pro y no solo alcanza velocidades similares a las del SSD interno del Mac (3,2 gb/s frente a 2,8 gb/s), sino que encima la combinación entre esta caja y el disco te hace ahorrar una barbaridad de dinero frente a los precios de ampliación oficiales de Apple.La construcción de la caja es de aluminio y cuenta con un ventilador interno para refrigerar el SSD. Viene con instrucciones súper sencillas para instalarlo e incluso con algunas láminas de pasta térmica para colocar encima y bajar algún grado de temperatura (todavía no he escuchado el ventilador, por lo que la refrigeración pasiva es excelente).El cable incluído es Thunderbolt 4 y tiene la longitud suficiente para colocarlo al lado del Mac Mini sin que sobren o falten centímetros.Para todos los usuarios de este tipo de Mac, esta caja es ideal

Works well with s25 ultra. I can use the nvme drive sd card reader usb and hdmi with DeX or just android itself. Only drawback with s25 and magsafe is you have to mount it slanted to doge the lower camra lens.

I work on the go a lot as an IT Specialist and need Tons of storage. I was always buying external drives and I then decided to start using NVME drives from old or decommissioned PC's, this case makes this very easy for me. I have an iPhone from work that I use to take videos, pictures, audio notes etc. and am always running out of space. This was a life saver, I have using iCloud for storage, so this allows me to store everything locally.This dock has tons of options for connecting to a phone or laptop. It has USB-C, USB-A, HDMI SD and Micro SD card slots, and a built-in fan. Inside, you have a single M.2 NVME slot that you can use with several different sizzed drives. What I like is I can transfer large videos easily from my phone to my laptop in no time. For someone on the go, this is a great tool. You can't go wrong with a device like this, I can highly recommend this if you're in the same situation as me.

This one took me a bit of learning to understand the best use case. This is a full-featured dock which happens to work with your iPhone, your iPad, or even your laptop. It provides whatever size SSD storage you provide (I put in a 2tb SSD for test purposes), plus it has an SD reader and TIFF reader. The fan which cools the SSD is surprisingly quiet. It also has an HDMI out, and a USB 3.2 port as well as a USB-C port which can take additional USB devices or power. There is a magnet which holds tight to my magsafe case on my iPhone 16 Pro, so this is perfect as both external storage as well as external monitor for my phone. I do use my phone for certain astronomy pics which I plan to download to the SSD on this device, now that I've figured out how to properly access it through Files in IOS. So pretty excited about what this will be able to do for me, and thinking also of getting an small self-powered monitor for the HDMI so I can get a better view of what I'm shooting. It'll be super efficient once all put together.In the meantime I've tested this with an HP Elitebook and was successfully able to access the SSD, use the HDMI port, and add additional USB peripherals while powering the device and laptop through the power input port. I also tested SD card access, but not the TIFF reader. This is pretty powerful as a standalone dock, and made me really wish all my docks had internal memory which I could use as an external disk or backup. Overall, I see a lot of different use cases for this unique little device.

I will use this product to backup photos from my cameras UHS-ii speed SD cards while out and about, using my iPhone 15 Pro Max or iPad mini 6. I installed a 2TB Silicon Power UD90 2280 SSD. These are my results: Using the short cable they supply, or a Thunderbolt 3 cable I have lying around, the SSD benchmarks with the full rated speed on my M2 MacBook Air. Note that this in a Thunderbolt 4 chassis the same SSD would be 4 times faster, but that doesn't matter in my use case as neither the iPhone or iPad have Thunderbolt anyway. There is a bottleneck for me, as the SD card reader in this device is UHS-i and not UHS-ii (which I knew when buying). On the iPhone or iPad it takes about 6 minutes to import the 30 GB of photos from a UHS-ii SD card to the the SSD. If I instead plug a UHS-ii card reader into the USB port on this device the same import is more than twice as fast, less than 3 minutes. So for photographers in the field this can be an inexpensive backup device, but it would be far better with a UHS-ii reader built in. Use the supplied cable, or a proper replacement, as a standard C to C charging cable won't work. Finally, when connecting to my MacBook Air or iPad Mini 6 no external power supply was required, however the port on my iPhone 15 Pro Max did not put out enough power, so I had to connect a small battery bank to the PD 100 port, which didn't surprise me. For my use this will be sufficient, and everything works within the specs they provide. I hope for a future version with a UHS-II card reader. Recommended, if you understand the limitations.

This is a fantastic item, it’s reasonably small in size and the build quality is superb, light alloy with a switchable cooling fan that is hardly audible, I fitted this with a 2TB Samsung NVME 990 pro drive, and attached this to my Mac mini m1 and set it up to be the boot drive, this runs perfectly. I am getting faster speeds from this drive than I am getting from my Mac M1’s built in ssd hard drive. File transfers are so fast. It has never overheated even under continuous loads. I will be purchasing a second one in the future and have no hesitation in recommending it.
