Overall this product works well but pay attention to the compatibility with the door knob. The hole for the door knob shaft is square and not what I typically see in US with round shaft and half moon metal around.

Nah, I'm just messing. It's just a plain old basic latch that fits most doors. But it feels more solid than the broken one I'm replacing. And it's not broken like that old broken one, which is key. Plus it fits and now my door opens and shuts again, so it's all good.
