Used this product to hook up a planer. Checked Lowes and the plugs were about 25 bucks each. Great product for a great price.

Very nice quality plug. However, since this is designed for 3-phase, the opening should be a bit bigger. I was making an 50A adapter and the cable would only just barely jam through understand the cable opening, and there was absolutely zero chance of getting the clamp to work at all. Luckily of course it was so stiff i didn't really need the clamp, but you get my point. It is still a great plug and i am sure would work fine for a 30A cable. Glad to have it.

This receptacle was well suited for my use. It was installed on the exterior of may house to provide 240V/30 Amp power to my Class A RV. it was well made and easy to install. Whereas it was of sufficient quality for my use as a homeowner, a more durable name-brand manufacturer version of L14-30R would be a better choice for an industrial or commercial installation.
