I got this fiber optic set for a ceiling project, no not for my car but for my home instead. It’s a lot easier to run the wires in a large open area. With them being translucent, they are hardly noticeable until later in the dark when you turn it on. I would like to have one in my car, but believe the work to install it and the damage that it may do to my headliner for the future may not be worth it. You can use these lights for so many different projects that will have awesome results.

I got this for a slightly different reason that installing in a ceiling. Don't get me wrong, those ceiling installations look amazing, but to do an install like what they show you in the description photos, that's about a 20 hour install, figuring 30 seconds per fiber. That's a lot of time to work on your headliner. If you can do more than 2 fibers a minute, you can do it in less time.No, I got this for a completely different project, actually. I want to incorporate this into an epoxy river table I plan on building this summer. My last epoxy river table was a chess table I did a few years ago, and have been looking for a new project. I kind of want to do something that looks "celestial" like the description photos, but in a table with black epoxy instead. This should be perfect for an epoxy river table, and with 4 separate lights, it should make for a dramatic effect, and with 36 watts of LED power, it should be fantastically bright!In all, I'm quite happy with this, as the quality seems great. It has a remote, which will work well for me, and is sound sensitive as well, which opens up a lot of possibilities.
