The gaskets were slightly oversized that they wouldn’t fit in groove, stay in position, or too thin. The pump seal once set in the housing broke in half using a press to uniformly seat it. There was nothing usable for me in the kit. I bought a new seal and used my old gaskets. Running leak free after the Texas big freeze of 2021

This kit contains the gaskets for all Pentair Whisperflo from before 6-1994 to now. There are 3 seal plate gaskets for before 6-1994 (O-ring, cross-section: circle), between 6-1994 thru 1-31-2008 (molded, cross-section: thicker, flat mating surfaces on both sides), between 2-1-2008 to now (molded, thinner, flat mating surface on one side and beveled on the other). 2 O-rings for the skimmer basket lid for before 11-1998 (thinner) and after (thicker). O-ring for the diffuser. O-ring for the impeller screw. Two-piece shaft seal white ceramic for impeller and black carbon for the seal plate. Here's the installation instruction:Apply 1/16" bead of silicone adhesive to the metal flange of the shaft sealPress the shaft seal into the seal plate with a 1" PVC coupling (Wait 24 hours for silicone seal to cure)Dip the ceramic seal in water (with a little dissolved dish soap) and press the rubber end into the impeller (white ceramic facing out)Wipe the ceramic and carbon surfaces of the seal clean with alcohol (try not touching the mating surface when installing to keep surface clean)Torque seal plate to motor at 70 IN-LB (apply grease or anti-seize to bolt)Turn impeller clockwise to tightenInstall O-ring on impeller screw and torque impeller screw to 25 IN-LB counter-clockwise (reverse threaded)Screw on diffuser with 3/32" allen keyApply packaged silicone lube to diffuser O-ring and seal plate gasketInstall O-ring and gasket (be sure to press the gasket into the channel in the seal plate; the sticky lube will hold the gasket in place)Install seal plate on to volute at 110 IN-LB (apply grease or anti-seize to bolt)Reconnect wiring to motorTurn on circuit breakerNote: I swapped out the 1.65 Total HP WFE-4 motor (1 HP x 1.65 SF) with a new Regal Beloit Century V-Green 165 varaible speed motor (1.65 HP x 1 SF). My electrical usage is now 35% of what it used to be at the same turn-over volume. Remember back in the old days where you save gas by driving at 55 MPH? That's how variable speed pump saves energy. It takes about 2x longer to clean the pool at 1/2 the RPM, but the total energy used is about 1/3 of full speed. At 1/2 speed you can hardly hear the motor running. I used to avoid running the pump at night to be courteous to the neighbors. But now I can hardly hear the motor, so I can run the pump between 12AM to 6AM to get the best electrical rate.

Everything you need; all the rubber fit fine, sealed completely. The actual shaft seal that you tap in to the pump housing, not so good. One tap and it was in 2 pieces. I have tapped in seals 5 or 6 times over the years and this seal was cheaply put together. Bought another one from the local pool store for $15 and it tapped right in. Be ready.

The seals were precision. Perfect install, face gasket was loose the fit was disappointing but useable. Propeller washer was loose as well. The important seals makes this kit the way to go. You can make the rest of the kit work.

This kit allowed my husband and me to replace the seals on our pump for a fraction of the cost a repair guy would've charged. There are no instructions included, but after searching online I was able to find a video with easy to follow instructions ([...]). It was very easy to do and within 45 minutes our pump was no longer leaking. This is a universal kit so you will have extra pieces that don't apply to your pump. Just compare what you remove with the items in the kit. Please click YES if my review have been helpful to you, it will encourage me to continue writing and updating my reviews, and leave a comment if you have any questions, I will be more than happy to answer if I can be of help.

This stopped the pool pump from leaking and saved us several hundred dollars. It is no small job disassembling a Whisperflo but if you have the tools and the will, you will save a lot of money on a pool service call.

The kit contained all of the necessary parts required to refurbish my pool pump. No instructions included but they were easy to find using Google. This made quick work of my project and I did not have to pay inflated brick and mortar store pricing or the $ 95 dollars an hour the pool guys typically charge.

Used this kit to rebuild my 15 year old Whisperflo pump, followed instructions shown on you tube videos. Pump performs like new. Very pleased with the results. Saved about $400 for a new pump and the difficultly of installing a new pump. Highly recommended
