So this is a nice tactical sling. It's not fantastic, but it is a great value for the price overall. The ladder buckle/QD version is definitely meant to fit standard, m4 style stock and then some sort of handguard with a QD swivel. It's easy enough to adjust, and for a normal weight AR platform it'll be reasonably comfortable. It's not a super padded sling meant for comfort though. It's a "tactical first" type sling with wide enough webbing to make it not unbearable. It does adjust reasonably easily. If you're comparing it to one that's meant to be super fast to adjust or has a ton of features like some of the magpul slings or TAB gear, etc., you'll be disappointed, but it's also a fraction of the price. Adjust your expectations to something realistic. There are a couple gripes I have that are kind of tied together. The sling comes with a buckle on the ladder buckle end which is great so you can remove your sling if needed. My issue with it is that they made it removable and there are several styles of attachment available other than the ladder buckle, but it didn't come with those, and you can't buy them separately. It's the perfect way to let people choose what they want if they change their mind, or swap between different rifles so it's a real missed opportunity to me. One of my AR's has an m4 style stock, but I have others with magpul furniture on them. I don't need a sling on all of them all the time, so being able to move it back and forth with the QD swivel and buckle would be very nice. Minor gripe, but in my opinion valid.Overall though, nice sling if it's the style attachments you need and for the price it's a really good value compared to other options.

Great strap for my rifle. makes it comfortable for walking through the woods. The adjustments make it fit just right. For the money, you'd be hard pressed to find a better rifle strap.

Poor description. This should specifically state that the sling does not come with the required attachments and that it is for specific type of firearms.

I picked up this Allen Company Tac-Six Citadel sling recently and have been generally quite pleased with its performance. It feels like a well-constructed piece of gear, especially considering its price point. The heavy-duty webbing seems durable and ready for regular use.The Quick Detach (QD) swivels are a definite plus, making it easy to attach and remove the sling quickly, and they feel secure once connected. I appreciate the double-point design which offers good versatility for different carrying positions. The ladder buckle system for adjustment is quite secure; once you set your desired length, it stays put, which is crucial. The padded handle section mentioned in the features is also a nice touch for a more comfortable carry in certain situations. While it's a very capable sling, there are a couple of minor points that keep it from a perfect five stars for me. The 1.25-inch webbing is sturdy, and the padded handle is helpful, but for very prolonged field carry directly on the shoulder without a pack, some users might wish for a bit more padding along the entire length of the sling for maximum comfort. It's perfectly adequate for typical use, though. Secondly, while the ladder buckle is very secure, it's not the fastest system for making quick, on-the-fly length adjustments compared to some other sling designs with quick-pull tabs. However, for a set-it-and-forget-it length, it's perfectly fine.Overall, this Tac-Six Citadel sling is a dependable and functional option. It provides secure carry, good basic adjustability, and seems built to last for regular use. I'd recommend it to someone looking for a solid, no-nonsense firearm sling that offers good value.

Mounted this sling with my basic AR rifle, and it’s a massive improvement over the basic GI-style slings I’ve used before. It feels solid and well-made, and it’s much more versatile—perfect for having in my bugout bag or keeping handy as bedside gun. The adjustable length is great; it’s easy to loop it around my body for a quick grab, and the clipping hook makes switching between single/double point sling easy. It’s also way more durable than the cheap stuff, without needing to go the Magpul tier. If you're looking to upgrade your setup for something that’s reliable, easy to use, and good enough for both range and home, this is a solid choice.

I’ve bought several Allen Company products over the years and have never been disappointed. That holds for their Tac-Six Citadel Connect Double Point Firearm Sling. This is an impressive sling, especially for the price. The sling is very versatile. The combination of a QD swivel and ladder buckle means it connects easily to a wide variety of attachment points, whether you have standard swivels, QD mounts, or other loop systems. This makes it adaptable to different platforms. The rapid adjustment system, with its convenient pull tab, allows for quick and easy tightening or loosening of the sling, making it simple to secure to your torso or to transition between carrying positions. The construction feels very robust, with heavy-duty webbing and reinforced stitching that will hold up to regular use. Overall, this is a well-thought-out and durable sling that offers excellent functionality and adjustability. If you're looking for a reliable double-point sling that's easy to use and built to last, the Tac-Six Citadel Connect is a great choice at a friendly price.
