Well made, easy to install and very effective for my use. I installed this on my backpack strap to help retain the gun sling on my shoulder. Works great holding the sling in place and is very quick and easy to disengage the gun sling from the hook.

I carry a lunch box and a back pack everywhere this keeps me from having to constantly holding onto my lunchbox strap and has really been great. Having a free hand has made my day to day more manageable.

One of the real pains of walking to my stand in the dark is keeping my rifle sling on my shoulder.This sling hook was an impulse buy that I frankly thought was too simple to really work. Boy wasI wrong.The hook attaches easily to the top portion of the shoulder strap of my backpack. Its designallows for a wide variation in the width of the attachment point.The hook itself is two sided and has a gap wide enough to allow you to slip almost any rifle slingthrough. Once in place, there is literally no way for your sling to fall off your shoulder, butwhen you get to your destination, it is very easy to reach up and unhook it.This hook keeps the sling on your shoulder and frees up your hands to ensure you are balancedand prepared for whatever happens while you are walking.This is one of those simple things that make a big difference in your day of hunting! So I definitely do recommend this sling hook!

I ordered this strap clip to attach the unpadded strap of a front-facing, cross-body tactical bag to the top of a cushioned backpack strap. The hope was that the unpadded strap could no longer saw into the side of my neck. It does work for that. The Velcro arrived oriented in the wrong direction so that it had to be engaged from the underside of the loop, which was frustratingly impractical, so I simply pulled it out of its loop and flipped it over so that I could actually work with it. Afterward, it was super easy to attach. Fastening it around a standard backpack strap, lots of excessive Velcro hangs free, scratching at the side of my face, so I felt it necessary to trim that. It holds everything in place well enough, but it creates a different discomfort form the backpack strap to which it attaches, as the cushion there now has hard pieces that press into the shoulder. Finally, the hard plastic and strong Velcro does seem sturdy, though potentially overpriced for what you get.

Good product overall. Heavy duty plastic and wide Velcro strip. It does fit over the back pack straps we have and will hold the rifle sling on the narrower end. But the wider shoulder strap does need to be wiggled into place and out of it. It would be nice to have a little bit of rubber under it to grip against the shoulder strap so it doesn't slide down when walking. Over all it functions just fine and is a nice alternative to the sling constantly falling off your shoulder.

Works great on my hunting daypack (Browning Whitetail). Easy to install on the pack and holds the straps for my various rifles fine. Some straps might be too wide to fully fit in both sides, but you really only need the outside of the strap to slot in for it to hold in place just fine. One of my slings is too slick to be useful normally, but with this strap keeper on my pack it is useful again! Good piece of kit that solves a common issue. Highly recommended.
