This pump worked amazing. It allowed me to empty my grey and black tanks at home to my clean outs 30 feet away. However, I just went to twist it off my trailer clean out valve and three of the retaining hooks broke off. There’s no way for me to attach it anymore, even though the pump works fine. Wondering why they all go bad at once or if there’s a way to fix this? Pump has been stored in its box between uses. Would love a way to make it usable again. Without broken connectors, it’s a five star pump, but it has to connect to work.

Worked Perfect, hooked up plumbing as per attached photo, the water sprayer connected to the fitting was invaluable Purchased that fitting on Amazon and the rest of the fittings at local hardware store. Use dishwashing detergent on gasket of the pump when connecting the clear plastic rv fitting. It made a big difference on ease of connection. You can’t tell but I hooked up a switch along the line close to the pump that became very valuable and I put a 12 V cigarette lighter and with a 15 amp fuse, to plug into truck cigarette lighter. (Higher amperage capacity using the truck cigarette lighter) Used 20 feet of 16 gauge lamp cord for wire. prime the pump with dishwashing soap and water just pour it in the pump inlet To moisten the rubber impeller, connected to a 50 foot 1/2 inch holes tested the head height 6 feet no problem, emptied proximately 30 gallons of black and gray water in about five minutes. No overheating of the pump just a slight warming. Continue using the pump for another half hour to flush out the tanks with clean water all totalled it ran for about 40 minutes and it was just warm to touch. I believe the secret is to continually keep the pump cooled by pumping water were not pumping water shut the pump off. Would purchase again.

Liked the cost and it says made in USA. When I tried hooking up the the exit valve it was very difficult to find usable adapters to get down to a 3/4” hose. But did! It will not run dry and haven’t used on RV yet. But when adding water for a try it pushed water all the way across the garage! Will update after using at our upcoming camping trip. When I opened the box it was open and coming out and box looked used and beat up. Unit looked clean and new!Update:After using 2 times I love the pump and how fast it works. My concerns are the tabs that hold the sewer hose seem very weak and feel like they will break real easy. I used a small 12 volt battery from the kids Barbie Jeep and it pumped just as fast as the car battery. look forward to using it in the future and would bye again just a little concerned about the sewer tabs failing...... But for this price its worth it not to have to pull that huge tank around....

We've had it for a couple of months now and have used it about 25 times (pumping around 120L each time). At first, it pumped well for 3 or 4 minutes then started cycling. Now it pumps for about 1 minute and then cycles - burst of 10s operation every minute. It takes an hour to empty 150L - very annoying. The connection options offer good flexibility though it would be good to have some sort of termination for the power. The pump is a good price but I expect it will fail within 12 months so might go for a better quality unit next time if warranty support can't offer better operation time.

I just got a travel trailer to use while we rebuild our cottage. We are on a 1000 gallon holding tank. Trailer is about 70ft from holding tank. And down 2 ft. This pump and a regular cheap 75' 5/8" garden hose is working perfectly to empty my trailer tanks into the larger holding tank. Had to macgyver a connection to use a screw on garden hose but Not a big deal. Also use a 12v cable from my van to power it when I need to. Someone more handy can probably wire it to a 12v circuit in trailer, but this works for me. I put a small clear elbow on my sewer outlet pointing down. So 1. I can see when tanks are empty and not run pump dry for more than a few seconds. And 2. It allows the pump to hang almost vertical when I attach it so the pressure on the teeth is a lot less. I emptied 20 gallons in about 2 minutes so the claims are about right. A lot cheaper than the sureflo model and so far works great. I wish they put alligator clips or something on the wires, but I guess each person hooks it up differently so maybe they just keep it simple.

We have our travel trailer set up in the driveway for our daughter while she finishes college. Power and water were no problem, but what to do with the black tank? Our septic clean out is on the far side of the house, and I did not want to set up another one just for the camper. After much research, I settled on this little pump.I have it semi-permanently attached to the waste outlet on the camper using a clear, 90 degree elbow. This allows gravity to do some of the work in feeding the pump while relieving the strain on the connection. I pulled 12v power from a nearby source inside the camper and ran a wiring harness through the floor inside a cabinet to provide power to the pump. I mounted a permanent switch in the metal skirt of the RV.Then I attached a water bandit and 150' of 3/4 garden hose to reach the septic clean out. The pump and hoses are left in place while the camper is parked at home. Then it's just a simple matter of opening the tank valve and turning on the pump to empty it out.First test was a great success. There is a 6 foot rise then downslope between the pump and septic tank. This pump emptied out both gray and black tanks without an issue.Very happy with this purchase!**UPDATED**I've been using this pump almost daily for several weeks now. It has had no issues whatsoever and has dealt with everything quite easily. In conjunction with the black tank flush that was included with the RV, I'm convinced this system is far better and easier than the usual 3" gravity dump. Originally, I had intended for this system to only be used at home, but it will be going on the road with us also. This pump does a much better job of cleaning out the tank (along with the tank flush) and has no problem breaking down the solid wastes and wads of toilet paper that have not yet broken apart.

The Amarine-made 12V 45 LPM 12GPM Quick Release RV Mount Macerator Waste Water Pump is a well made unit. It does however have a few design issues. Namely, the bayonet prongs on the 3" intake are weak and prone to breaking and the supplied intake adapter fitting is listed as 1-1/2" National Pipe Thread (NPT), it is not. It's a buttress thread type of an off size. Not an issue for an RV application. The other design issue is the out-flow spigot, which is a 1" hose barb. Not terrible, but not practical for connecting the recommended 3/4" garden hose. These issues can be remedied with a few simple modifications and additions. In the attached photos, you'll see how I filed down the hose barb and threaded the spigot to 3/4" NPT, and attached a male garden hose thread adapter c/w cap & chain. Then I mounted the unit on a plastic cutting board and installed a 3" male bayonet RV sewer hose adapter (Camco 39543-X RV Twist Connect Kit Sewer Fitting) in to the intake of the pump, with a 2' section of 3" RV sewer hose and a Camco 39847 Rhino Flex Clear 45-Degree RV Sewer Hose Swivel Fitting, capped-off with 3" male bayonet plug. This set-up allows the pump to sit flat on the ground while connected to the RV discharge pipe with the flexible sewer hose. Keeping the hose mounted to the pump minimizes the chance of breaking the bayonet prongs. Having a cap on the pump outlet and a plug in the intake, keeps the unit drip free during storage.I will be adding the ETbotu 12V 15A Car Cigarette Lighter Socket 3M Extension Cable Auto Charger Power Adapter Outlet which has an integrated switch in the male plug end. I'll just cut-off the socket end and wire it directly to the pump and install a Sea Dog 12-Volt Power Socket in the side of my trailer. The plan is to pump waste-water from the trailer to a Tote-N-Stor 25609 Portable Waste Transport - 32 Gallon Capacity waste tank in the bed of my truck. I'll post an update once the installation is complete. All of the listed components can be sourced through Amazon.Happy Pumping!

This pump works great to pump out my RV waste tanks. My RV is parked at a family member's residence and I needed a way to pump out the waste tanks to their sewer line. I bought this pump along with a few other parts to create an easy, temporary connection to use approximately once per week. The set up I detail below is only a temporary installation and should not be left unattended.I used a 100ft 3/4" water hose and the pump had no problem with this diameter and distance. The elevation head was only a few feet.Parts:Macerator pumpCamco Water Bandit https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000EDOSKG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=11 hose clamp2 - 12ft extension cords (2 conductor, 16 ga wire) with plug polarity - this means the plug has a small blade for the hot wire and a wide blade for the neutral wire.on/off light switch with box12v battery alligator clips100ft 3/4" garden hose90 deg clear waste hose fitting, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0006MRQRM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Installation:- Keep in mind the red wire on the pump must be connected to the red or '+' post of battery. Make sure you carefully keep track as you make the wiring connections.- The pump power wires do not have any terminals. Wire these into the light switch. This provides an on/off switch close to the pump.- Cut 1 extension cord in half. Trim insulation back on the wires cut. Wire the extension cord half with male plug into the light switch.- Wire the female extension cord half to the battery alligator clips.- Use stainless hose clamp to secure the Camco Water bandit onto the discharge of the pump.Setup:Connect battery clips to RV 12v house battery. red to '+'Connect second extension cordMake sure light switch is in OFF position, plug pump/switch into extension cordbump light switch to ON for a moment to test pump.Connect 3/4" hose to pump and other end into your sewer clean out pointConnect 90deg clear connector to the RV waste outlet (aids to know how long to rinse tank)Connect pump in vertical position with motor on the bottom. Instructions say the pump can work in any orientation. (I've found this as the best way to completely drain out the outlet line before disconnecting pump)Operation:Open RV waste tank valve and turn on pump.Test operation and for leaks using gray water tank first!Empty black tank.Use tank flush to completely flush and rinse tank until water is clear.Disconnect hose and pump and thoroughly rinse.
