This radio is very cool looking, but it doesn’t pick up fm/am stations well even with the antenna. Other than that, love the features it has! Bluetooth and sound are great!

My order got here fast and the minute I turned it on I couldn’t believe the sound quality! It was great and so was the strong reception! I would definitely recommend this radio to anyone considering buying it. You won’t regret it!!

I love the faux vintage thing this radio/Bluetooth speaker has going on, and the sound quality is great. Gets pretty loud. Indeed pretty simple to use.Unfortunately, manufacturer can't seem to sort their end out. Both units I received, the "charging" indicator light never turned off, even after over 24 hours. Not sure if they just didn't think to have it turn off after a full charge or it's an accurate warning of battery problems."Charge 2-3 hours to full battery and then you can enjoy listening to the radio all day."First unit I received lasted somewhere around 2-3 hours on, again, 24+ hours of charging, well short of the "all day" promised by any measure. Considered this defective and sent it back.Charged the second unit for a similar amount of time. Got ready to give it a whirl and that one wouldn't even connect to my phone's Bluetooth. Back to Amazon to stay then. Spend your money elsewhere.

Be aware there's no headphone jack, since shortwave tends to be a nighttime activity you may not be taking this outside unless you don't have neighbors. Or a spouse.It's wood with a veneer-like finish so don't expect old wood. The markings is a decal.With thai said, it gets great reception, is sturdy and heavy and the speaker sounds terrific on both radio and bluetooth; clear, loud, and bassy not tinny at all. I notice no great volume difference between functions; I did not test cards. The knobs are sturdy. It tends to be louder with soft bedside volume being more difficult to achieve. But really great sound/tone for both voice and music. As good as Tivoli or Sangean. I find the tuning button slightly difficult to work with I wish it was larger. Nothing's lit, there's little led specs for power and bluetooth. I like it a lot for an inside table radio and esp. bluetooth (nice to play vintage shows on it for its looks) and quality sound/build, definitely worth the $30 I paid for it.***Still great sound, a little hard to tune, but as others have noted the caveat is very short battery life like 3 hours after all night charging; you can listen to it while charging.Okay, lowering to two stars because as a review mentioned the bluetooth function does not receive the full stereo signal and plays just one channel. This is an unacceptable failure in design. Also the battery only lasts 3 hours as I mentioned and you'd need to leave it plugged in all the time. Not worth the high price despite the good sound on talk radio.
