The holder lever works to move the wick. However, the accompanying wick is not made of pure cotton and does not burn. It extinguishes as soon as it is lit. The tip is more rope-like and stringy. Very disappointed that I cannot use the wick for the occasion I ordered it for and I have to arrange for a wick that fits this. Overpriced for the cheap flimsy quality. But it serves it's purpose, hopefully, with the right wick. Not worth it for the price. They should provide a pack of wicks with it.

The duration of the flame is too short, and I have to manually raise the wick, which is not what I wanted.
