DO NOT BUY, THERE IS NO PRINT RESUME FUNCTION IF YOU HAVE A POWER OUTAGE.A large print WILL fail with even a flicker of power, and you have to start again. My ancient Ender 3 Pro printers even have print resume. WTF was Anycubic thinking???If you do buy it, invest in an Uninterruptible Power Supply with a battery big enough to last whatever your average power outages are in your area. Or you're going to mf-ing this thing up and downOtherwise, i like the solid rails it rides on, print quality is very good, prints 3 times faster than my old Kobra Plus which actually has print resumeThe stupid thing is that the Kobra 2 Plus system is klipper based. it shouldn't be an issue even. oh well. it's outside the return window now. at least i didn't pay full price.

This printer is a good choice for any beginner in 3D printing. Not too expensive, fast and precise and easy to use.THE GOOD-The printer comes disassembled in a few main parts which you have to put together and connect a few ribbon cables to make it work. Nothing too difficult and works almost out of the box in 45 minutes max.- Compared to many entry level printers out there, the kobra 2 plus is pretty fast, and has a few nice features like vibration compensation, which analyzes the vibration tolerance of the printer depending on where its placed, and it automatically makes adjustments to the printing to compensate for any vibrations that are pretty common at high speed printing.- Comes with integrated WiFi which enables you to send your pint jobs over the air from Anycubic slicer software (which is a very simple version of Prusa Slicer, and very limited in features), or you can manage your printjobs and more from the Anycubic mobile app. Just the basic convenience.- Comes with a set of tools, like small wrench and Hex keys for maintenance and a few spare parts like a spare nozzle and PTFE tube for your first replacement and maintenance that you may perform to your printer.- Easy to get going and learn the basics of printing in 3D, very fast and if the printer is tuned well enough your printed models will come out looking quite good- The Kobra 2 plus comes with a textured printing bed of about 320mmx320mm and a printing height of about 380mm which lets your print quite large models. I've been able to print full sized helmets without having to cut them into smaller sections.THE NOT SO GOOD:- Within the first month of use of the printer, I started experiencing erratic behavior of the LCD touch screen, flickering screen, and sometimes the touch screen wouldn't work. I opened up a ticket to the manufacturer and uploaded a video of the LCD behavior. They replied fast the first time and sent a replacement at no additional cost. Recently after 6 months of use, the replaced LCD suddenly wouldn't turn on, nor display any image, even though the printer would definitely boot up. I contacted Anycubic again, uploaded a video of the problem and opened up a ticket, stating that I was having trouble for a second time with the LCD display, asking if they would provide me with a new LCD that I would GLADLY PAY for the replacement knowing it was a second failure with the LCD display. I received confirmation of the open ticket and that an engineer would contact me, which they never did (I edited this part, because the communication failure was a mistake on my part, since the emails I got from anycubic were going into the spam flder which I overlooked.) After I was contacted by them again to follow up on the problem they replaced the part once again and in a superfast response. I have to acknowledge that the support team from Anycubic is really fast and efficient.- Their closed "ecosystem" of their WiFi functionality only works with anycubic software, which it would be better if it could connect to other slicing software like orca or Prusa.- Due to the location of the filament spool which is on the left side of the printer, this has caused filament entanglement more frequently than if the filament spool was placed in a more convenient place like on top of the printer, which makes the filament less prone to entanglement. This has cause the filament to entangle a few times and that has caused the X-axis belt to brake a couple of times requiring to be replaced.I conclusion, the printer works great as advertised, Kobra 2 plus is superfast, easy to operate and give maintenance to. Has a lot of cool features you only find on more expensive printers, like integrated WiFi, remote printing, etc. I'm very pleased with the printer and their top support. I only wish that in the future the firmware and settings could be more open to customization to be able to operate remotely from other slicing software of choice. I definitely love the printer, and I can't wait for the Kobra 3 to come out. I'm pretty sure it's gonna be a great contender to the higher end models of other brands.

The Anycubic Kobra 2 Plus is a great system. I love it and I am absolutely glad I took advantage of the Black Friday Deal. I Wish I could buy another. However, I would recommend, purchasing directly from the dealer. My set came missing only one part, the filament holder bracket. A very important part. The filament holder aligns the spindle to the sensor. They could not send me a part, so the best they could offer was to return the one I purchased, get a refund, and buy another at full price. They would not honor the original deal. Reluctantly, the machine itself is so awesome, I decided to keep it. Then designed a bracket of my own and made it my first print.

The printer has a direct drive print head, need leveling, magnetic build plate, large build volume, a rock solid frame, wireless print, etc etc. and it can print good quality prints at very high speeds. Want great quality? Adjust to a slower print speed. It's really that simple.I've read reviews that showed a poorly printed benchy. I printed one after a firmware update. It failed because I didn't recalibrate. That was my only failed print, so far. Recalibrated and ran the benchy again and it printed great. The high speeds are kind of like it's angry! You'll want the printer on a solid surface. The phone app is ok but I think it will improve. It's not bad.The desktop app is for slicing. If the printer is connected to you network or Bluetooth, you can send the gcode directly to the printer. Oddly, you can't monitor the progress from the desktop app. You can from the mobile app. Again, not bad at all but looks like something that will improve. As fast as this printer is, I have to wait for the bed to heat up. An AC heater for the build plate would be outstanding!Save yourself some time. Do not run the Guide during the initial setup. Do the basics only and connect to the Internet. Update the firmware and then run the Guide (calibration).Minor issues. Nothing more. Overall, this thing rocks and I'm already addicted to the speed. Unbelievable value and they have great customer support. (I had an issue with a roll of filament. They quickly corrected the issue.) Very pleased with this purchase.***Update - minus one star for having 3 USB ports and not allowing me to use 1 for connecting to a computer using a cord. I have the Simplify 3d slicer software. But if I use it, my only option is to save the STL file to a USB drive from the computer, plug it into the printer, then select the file to print. 3 USB ports easily accessible - 1 is reserved for a camera, and you can only use 1 of the other 2 for a thumb drive. Whichever isn't used it's disabled per the documentation. I hope a future update fixes this restriction.***2nd Update - They upgraded the slicer. The latest release (1.4.1) addresses 99% of the issues I had with the slicer. Anycubic gets back the 1 star. Still don't understand having 3 USB ports and not being able to connect a computer directly. However, there's no need. The Anycubic slicer does everything from one place, does it well, and it's all wireless. Excellent changes!
