Tank arrived with a small dent, doesn't affect the usage. I added this to an under sink type system that comes with its own 2 gallon tank, but needed more water capacity. Added a "tee" fitting between the two tanks and boom, extra water! I didn't have any taste or odor from the tank, so that's a bonus. Functions perfectly for its purpose. I'm using it "upside down" in the provided stand with no ill effects, mainly because the fitting required to add my push to fit tubing would be a little close if it were on the bottom. If you were replacing another tank with this one, you'd have zero issues installing it in a pre-assembled system.

I used this product to replace a water tank with a leaky bladder in our Reverse Osmosis system.Installation is very simple, just unscrew the fitting from the old tank and screw it onto the new one.If pressure below the bladder gets too low you can use a bicycle pump to pump it back up.

This tank was incredibly easy to install, able to fit under the sink no issue and is built to last. It filtered the water really well and made the taste excellent.

My old tank barely spat out 12oz (=1 can of soda) before coming to a dribble.New tank able to fill 24 cans quickly...and it keeps on going. Hope it holds this way for a couple of years.

Our Apec RO system is great and has worked well for us. But as I have read, the tanks don’t last forever. The water out of ourfaucet became very slow and pumping the pressure back up to 7-8 lbs. didn’t work as the pressure leaked out rather quickly. The new tank was inexpensive and works very well. It is just one of the maintenance things that has to be done every now and then. More than worth it for clean water.

I bought this to replace the stock tank for my RO system from GE. The old tank was barely putting out two cups of water at a time. However, the stock replacement was going to be around $150, so I was looking for a cheaper option.Since this tank is carried by the same store that I bought the RO system from, and they have it labeled as an "industry standard" in terms of pressure settings, I decided to give it a try. And so far, it works great! Much better pressure, and I get a lot more water out of the system at a time. Notably too, the water tastes better! Maybe because it's not mixing with old, stagnant water that can't be expelled.Super easy to install! Bought a shut off valve fitting to connect the tank to the plastic line of my system, and managed to connect it easily. Be sure to use plumbers tape on the fitting. I also used an O-ring for good measure. So far, no issues with leaking, as other people are reporting in their reviews.

Make sure you buy a storage tank ball valve to fit this thing. Subtracted 1 star because it didn't come with one. Could have saved a lot of headache if Apec would just includ one. Other than this, product is great.

We have always struggled with water flow in our reverse osmosis system until we thought about getting a bigger tank. Now we can fill jugs of drinking water and never seem to run out.

I bought this tank to replace the one that came with my RO system six years ago that gave up the ghost (my system happens to be installed in my basement) and I took the opportunity to up-size from the original 3.2 gallon capacity normally sized for the typical under-the-sink install.Besides the added water storage, the tank provides for greater overall volume support and I was happy for the included stand to raise the tank off the concrete. The ball valve is a separate purchase so be sure to pick the correct sizing for your system. The ball valve that comes with the small tanks will not fit.My only nit is the tank is packaged to fit inside reinforced cardboard and the shipper was less than kind; thus I was welcomed to a dent in the side of the tank upon unboxing - not enough to return it - there's a bladder inside that holds the water - but a bit of foam protection would be better for residential delivery.More humorously the Apec label on the tank is upside down; thankfully my powers of observation and just enough common sense were strong enough to overcome the discrepancy and thus installed the tank with the valve pointing skyward. For anyone concerned with this DIY project - very little tooling was needed; especially if you have a crescent wrench and quick-connect valves. Was as easy as turning off the water supply to the RO system, relieve the water pressure by running the RO faucet, disconnect the old tank line; screw the correctly-sized ball valve on the Apec tank, reconnect the line; and resume the water supply... then wait a bit for the system to fill the new tank.I checked the air pressure before installing - was set at 8psi out of the box. After filling the tank - I'm getting really good flow at the dispensing RO faucet even when filling up a gallon-size water container.
