These broke down after about 10 uses. The stitching came off where the velcro attaches to the elastic. The loop side (soft side) shredded. I do not recommend.

These straps are good for the hockey socks, but not for the shin guards.

Almost every time I am in a locker room someone needs to borrow tape for their hockey socks and shin pads, I haven't wasted tape on that use in years. Small upfront fee is quickly repaid, not to mention the convenience.

I had a pair of these from years ago and use them multiple times each week. My old pair started to have the Velcro come off, so I ordered a new pair. Overall very happy with them.

Opened the package to find one of the longer straps had the "loops" at both ends.I guess 3 out of 4 ain't bad, right? This can be fixed... still looking for way to contact seller. :-)

First off, this package contains TWO, not four, straps. Multiple reviews and Q&A state otherwise so maybe in the past it was different, but it seems like now the number of straps is cut in half. Seems kind of pointless because I don't know why you'd only want to purchase straps for one shin guard.After getting a full set of four, I tested them out at last night's hockey game. The Senior straps fit well enough although I think they could be tighter around my 15" shin guards. At the end of the game, they seemed to have held up well as I didn't notice any problems while playing. Went to take them off and.... one piece of velcro completely tore away from the strap. Give me a break!!So would I recommend these? Absolutely not if they can't last a single friggin game!

nice having tight fitting straps again as my very old ones were loosing their effectiveness. My only gripe is both sets are both black straps with the only difference being one set has white Velcro and the other black Velcro. Does it really matter? No, not at all considering they are only seen for a couple minutes before and after a game. Elasticity is great, pads stay in place.

I bought these to use with my shin guards for hockey because I was really tired of spending money on tape only to take it off in an hour or so and throw it away. I did some research on other hockey equipment sites and came back to Amazon because I've had success with other A&R Sports products I've purchased for my hockey skates and equipment. The set I received was not colored red and blue as shown in the picture, but rather all black. The differentiating part from the longer (top of shin guard closer to knee) and shorter (bottom of shin guard closer to foot) was the color of the Velcro. One's white and one's black. Very easy to tell apart and once strapped on your pads, they look all black.I would recommend these straps for those that want your shin guards to stay put while not throwing money away on tape for your shin guards.
