ArcOne S240-9 Horizontal Single Filter 2-Inch X 4 1/4-Inch X .2-Inch - Shade 9 is the most economical, general use auto-darkening filter. This is great for Stick, TIG and MIG welding applications between 50 and 300 amps. This filter is solar powered so there is never any batteries to change, and has an incredibly clear light state of 2.5. This filter features two independent sensors, 5.25 square inches of active viewing area and switching speed of 0.5 milliseconds. This filter is water and dust resistant, and is equipped with a dark to light delay of 0.2 seconds and up to shade 16 U/IR protection.

As I’ve gotten older my eyes need every advantage they can utilize. I use an Optrel hood for my main hood and I use this in a cutting goggle set-up for tight spot welding. This lens has a true to color view, meaning no green, blue or amber shading. Arcone makes solid products and I’m pleased with this auto lens.

Absolutely the best auto darkening lens. Been using this for 3 months and it has been in the cold, heat, in light rain, and has survived 3 falls from 35ft in my huntsman hood. Had a miller digital elite from 2008 and this is easily better in clarity than any other auto lens I have used in the past.

i cant see out of just anything and i really like this lens with a 2.5 cheater, HIGHLY RECOMMEND !!!i have never used a arcone product i didnt like and i use them at home and work.

I use this in my Jackson passive welding helmet - HSL2 14982 with a front - flip - up lens. I love it! I still like the fact that I can still lift the front lens in any shadowed spaces; point the MIG gun, close the front lens and pull the trigger. Hense, I have the best of both worlds!
