This adapter does what it's supposed to do. It adapts the motorola style microphone to a radio with a Kenwood style speaker- microphone jack. (Baofang etc.)However, the chord on the adapter unit is much thinner than most microphone chords and I fear for its longevity. Only time will tell...

This is a good, simple, no-frills adapter. Understand that it is NOT an extender with the same configuration on the far end as your Baofeng radio. It is a conversion adapter with a much more narrow configuration at the female end, and therefore, is meant to allow you to use a microphone or other peripherals that cannot plug directly into the Baofeng using dual pins. The wire is a little thinner than I would like, but it is also very flexible. Hopefully it will last.
