This set is as beautiful as it looks in the photos. It feels great to use the whisk, and the bowl is solid and substantial and a great size for whisking matcha. And the little holder for the bamboo whisk is a nice tough, since it’s otherwise something quite delicate to have on the dish rack. Very happy with this set.

Solid matcha set, if all you want is a bowl to whisk in and then pour from.Bowl is thick-edged, which doesn't make it ideal for Japanese tea ceremony, with a shared bowl. It's not going to be comfortable to drink out of. It's made for pouring into cups.It does not have the features that make a matcha bowl a chawan: the indentation at the bottom where heavier particles can collect and not be poured out, the indentation around the lip to help prevent spills while vigorously whisking, and a thin lip with no spout.Attractive glaze, some striking color options, and of perfectly acceptable quality. There are hundreds of options in the $25-$35 range, and this is one.

I've been wanting to get a matcha bowl with a little spout for a while now, and this one is just perfect! The whole kit is very functional and well-made, albeit not the absolute best quality -- still, fantastic for the price!

Gifted these to a friend. He was truly thankful and impressed. He went on to look up the company and were impressed with their gift sets! The whisk and the whisk stand - he had his own but paid nearly $20 for them; so he said this was a total steal! There was some dust on the ceramic bottom (underneath) but it did not bother me as it was still presentable and barely noticeable.

It just isn't as attractive. It isn't as aesthetically pleasing.On the positive side, it is a nice thick bowl. The material is thicker and heavier than another matcha bowl I have. And I still like it, it's just that I had high hopes for the aesthetics based on the picture.I don't want to imply that it's ugly, because it's not. It just doesn't reach the level of the one in the picture.The set is reasonably well presented and reasonably giftable.Everything seems well made, and for the most part (other than the aesthetics of the bowl) as expected.

The set is a bit pricy in my opinion, but the glazing on the bowl is very nice and everything is packaged very well making it a nice gift for anyone who likes Matcha tea. The bowl is fairly large and heavy. While it is fun to use the set to make the tea, you really just need the whisk and any medium bowl to make the tea at home. The one thing I think is missing from the set is a sieve to remove clumps from the dry powder before it goes into the bowl. It isn't absolutely necessary, but the instructions say to use it and there isn't one in the set. Overall, it is a nice tea set for a gift but it's overkill for most people who just want to brew matcha tea.

Definitely love how high quality this matcha set is! The bowl itself feels heavy and durable, and the accessories it came with compliment the entire kit.It was easy to make my usual matcha with this kit, and I appreciate how there is a spout from the bowl to pour your matcha directly into your cup. I would recommend this if you're new to making matcha at home! The kit has everything you need in order to make your own cup.

This is a beautiful matcha tea set. The shape and glaze are beautifully done. All the items are display quality. The set comes packaged securely in foam in a nice gift box. Excellent find and a great value for the price
