The dye did not work apparently it was the wrong size or wrong thread it is useless. There is no way to return it or no one to talk to about the problem

Only used this once for testing but I was able to make a 'nut' and 'bolt' with them. Wasn't pretty but it did screw together.

Needed for a project I was doing that requires me to drill and tap a number of holes. Take your time go slow and use lots of cutting fluid. You'll get the job done without spending a fortune

The Atoplee metric thread tap and die set is a great quality steel tool. The overall length of the tap is 3.5 inches long. This is a taper tap with the first 5 threads tapered. It is a 4 flute tap, which makes centering the tap easier than a 3 flute when hand tapping. The size was clearly marked on the shaft and it has 1 inch of full depth threads behind the 5 tapered threads. The square at the top is 1/4 inch. The tap came in a plastic protective box. The round die has an outside diameter of 1.5 inches and is 3/8 of an inch thick. It appears that it can be started in either direction. The chamfer on both sides looks identical and when chasing a new high quality cap screw, it was tight and worked well. I highly recommend this tool.

I got this set for the die to thread a rod. But very disappointed to find I don't have a handle to fit it. And I can't find one to fit it ether... So had to buy another die that came with a handle...
