I got this to keep the attic separate from the house during some construction I have going on. It works well and has enough structure to not want to drop down, which was a concern. It feels decently made and the installation was easy. It’s doing a much better job than the plastic sheet I had taped over the opening. I think the zippers are the weakest part and the pull flexes when using them. Overall, I do like it and will definitely keep it in place when the ladder goes in. Even though the ladder is insulated, I like the idea of having that extra layer of insulation.

This attic door insulation kit arrived just two days after ordering and was in perfect condition. Installation was rather simple and only took about 30 minutes. The net result is a much better sealed door and a slightly lower power bill. I had seen these for a few years and finally decided to install one, and I am happy with the result. No matter what you do around the door edges, heat, or cold, will always seep through. This is just one more layer to separate you from the hot or cold air in your attic. If we discover any issues during continued use, I will surely update the review. For now, considering price, it’s a definitely recommend.
