I bought two of these and hooked them up to a small amp for a New Year's Eve trivia party that I was hosting with a friend. It was just a friendly event so I didn't want to spend much. They worked fine the night before when I tested them. Decent quality audio. I packed them up and brought them to the venue. While I was setting up, I tripped over one of the wires and one of the mics dropped to the ground and landed on its head. It was dead. That one was my bad, these mics are pretty cheap so it's to be expected that they can't handle a drop, even one from only about a three-foot height. That was fine though, we still had the other mic. I figured we would just share. About five minutes later, my friend's mic just stops working. He had never let go of it and didn't even really move much at all. It just died.I didn't call to complain because I believe that if you decide to buy a cheap piece of garbage then you should be prepared to live with the consequences, but boy is this a CHEAP piece of garbage the likes of which I have never seen. It also feels really cheap and the cord was too short for me personally, although for some it may be fine.I'd say that if you do foolishly decide to buy one that you should handle it with the precision of a brain surgeon because one wrong move and it might just crumble into dust.

Excelentes materiales, se siente robusto, pero lo mejor es que la calidad del audio es muy buena para su costo.

This may sound bad but hey 5-stars!! A friend's Magic Sing Karaoke mic went bad. Turns out it was the mic capsule. I bought this microphone because it was cheap and unidirectional. When it arrived I immediately tore into it and removed the mic capsule and transplanted it in the Defective Magic Sing microphone. IT WORKED!!! As matter of fact it sounded better than the OEM mic capsule from Magic Sing. Great way to mod your karaoke mic and cheaper too.

I was looking for a microphone that was good for everything; speaking and singing. I have used it now at two events and it was perfect. Exactly what I wanted. At the price it was a double win.

I personally are into hifi (despite not having all the expensive gears I try to test whatever I can when I pass them by), in general big names from Japan proved to be worth their price most of the time (not counting sony),and this is one of them.not too expensive, but quality wise is good.Dynamic range, db (bottom) is limited but above average for dynamic mic.sensitivity won`t compete with electrostatic/electret ones, but above average for dynamic mic.for those wanting to test their voices with a headphone, ATH-AD2000 or ATH-CK100PRO is a good choice.

This is a great practice mic. It does it's job: it takes things I say into it, transfers them into an amp, and makes my voice come out of the amp. Mission. Accomplished. It's cheap as hell, and has an On/Off switch (rarely a sign of a high quality mic), so I would never recommend that you record with this mic, or do serious gigging with it, but if you just want something to play with or use for practice sessions, it's great. Plus, it stands up to the kind of abuse that befalls an item that is constantly surrounded by drunk musicians. We've beat the living crap out of this thing and it still works fine. Now, LET ME HEAR YOU SCREAM!

I needed a cheap mic to use with a laptop thru powered speakers to DJ a small party. This mic fit the bill perfectly. As previous reviewer Rockwell suggested, I also purchased a 3.5mm Stereo Male to 3.5mm Mono Female Adapter here on Amazon for 3.29 with free shipping, recommended so you hear sound from mic through both speakers.I was worried after reading some reviews about the mic sound being too low etc but after plugging into my laptop, Windows 7 asked what the device was I plugged in. I clicked that it was a microphone and I was off to the races. I did have to go into recording control for the microphone on the laptop to "listen to this device" and I had to click on microphone boost so I could hear it. With that I had my mic volume in Windows set at about 70 and I was LOUD. Loud and as clear as one would expect for a 10 dollar mic. Everyone I told about the price was impressed. As long as I kept the mic behind the speakers, I experienced no feedback whatsoever. The only negative was the delay between speaking into the mic and actually hearing it come out of the speakers, but I almost expected that going through a laptop. Not really the fault of the mic, just something that comes with the territory being a laptop DJ.If you are looking for an inexpensive all purpose microhone, this is a good starting point. I highly recommend it.

I purchased this mic to work with my Kodak Playtouch Camcorder at a very reasonable price to do interviews with a hand-held mic. I like the fact that it is a unidirectional dynamic mic that doesn't need a battery. After using it with my camcorder, however I discovered that the mini-pin was monoaural, which put the audio only on one channel of my recorded video and not on the the other channel. Another reviewer talked about the necessity of buying a mono-to-stereo mini-pin adaptor. Here therefore is a message to the good folks at Audio-Technica - We would all appreciate it if the product out-of-the box came with a stereo mini-pin (and stereo 1/4 inch adaptor) instead of the mono mini-pin.

The ATR-1300 replaced the discontinued ATR-30 microphone. The ATR-1300 was given by many ham radio operators a very commendable evaluation and recommended to many users. I found that it has a dyanmic range that well suits our purpose and that the fidelity is very evident during radio contacts. My radio, the Flex 5000A software-defined radio receives a lot of laudatory reports primarily because of its audio quality and this is primarily due to the ATR-1300. My first microphone was of German origin, which I consider as a very well made mic, but the ATR-1300 receives more commendatory reports. For the price, this microphone holds its own side by side with other mics four to five times the price.
