Intelligent Adaptive Conductance Technology
Autel MaxiBas BT508 has advanced adaptive conductance function, which can dynamically adjust the algorithm according to battery noise, voltage, and surface charge, accurately detect battery capacity and power to reduce the probability of misjudgment.
- Reduce battery misdiagnosis: State statistics show that 50% of recycled batteries are good and only need to be recharged. Battery tester BT508 adopts adaptive conductance technology will improve diagnostics accuracy to 95.59%, higher than 92.06% of conductance profile.
- Reduce charge and reset of discharge battery: Other competitive battery testers cannot conduct SOH test to identify discharge battery, which will lead to invalid reset and charge. Using adaptive conductance technology, the battery tester BT508 can quickly detect battery SOH, saving diagnostic wait time by 50%.
- Diagnose low capacity batteries: If the battery tester does not quickly identify the capacity status of the battery, there will be some misdiagnosis, which can lead to increased costs and wasted batteries. Battery tester Autel BT508 will improve bad detection rate to 63.55%, which is 15%(56.36%) faster than the battery tester using conductance profiling.
Compared to conductivity profiling, adaptive conductivity uses dynamic loads instead of fixed loads, which can be adjusted via in-vehicle environment, making battery diagnosis faster and more stable. Adaptive conductance has a 30A discharge (conductance profile is 10A) for faster battery testing and diagnosing.

Cranking/ Starter Test & Generator Test & Battery Test
BT508 has same functions as BT608 on Cranking/ Starter Test & Generator Test and Battery Test.
- Cranking/ Starter Test：Test 12V and 24V cranking/ charging systems for cranking Amps, engine cranking speed
- Generator Test: Test generator systems for pipple, off-load voltage, load voltage current, load current, load capacity of the battery, etc
- Battery Test: Check Battery condition in-vehicle or out-vehicle
Battery Replacement Diagram Guide Step-by-step:
With BT508 battery tester, you are allowed to perform whole battery change steps one by one:
- Battery Type Suggestion: Checking battery real condition first and deter whether change battery
- Save Battery Information: Save vehicle’s onboard data when vehicle’s battery is removed or disconnected
- Replace the Battery: Replace the battery step by step as prompted
- Register a new battery: After replacing new battery, we need use BT508 connect battery and vehicle control module, registering this new battery into vehicle electrical system modules.
- Choose right battery information: Select the previously stored battery information

This device takes some coaxing. It is necessary to charge it up before every use. (Autel does not supply a charging cable!)Tech support is problematic as they don't seem to speak English.

Works with your phone and scanner. Great for testing vehicles and using the printer option shows the customer the issue with their vehicle and attache the printed sheet on repair order for warranty documentation

I currently have seven automotive batteries that I maintain. The Autel MaxiBAS BT508 is a great tool that quickly tells me the health of my batteries. The phone app is very intuitive and easy to use. I like that I'm able to maintain a history of my tests. It's also very helpful that it tests my charging systems. I would highly recommend this tool.

Great tool for the price. This tool is actually 2 tools in one. The bt506 battery tester, and vci200 Bluetooth DLC device. They can pair to your phone and some autel diag tablet. I know it works with the elite. Not sure about the other ones. The diag tool comes with one car and 12.99 for each additional vehicle. Plus OBDII compatibility. Each tool alone goes for over $200. This is a great value.
