You get a 2-pack of heavy duty shore-fishing rod holders. The rods mount securely in the metal guides – you don’t want to see one of them with a fish on, heading out on the lake or river!They’re made so that when one of the big finned guys tugs on your line, they literally spring into action, going from horizontal to vertical in an instant, setting your hook for you.There’s 2 of them, so this makes a good set for a couple of people who are fishing off the bank together (or maybe in your area, you can fish 2 rods yourself – check your regs).The spike that goes in the dirt is sturdily made. Tip: when I’m fishing off a rocky shore, I take an old screwdriver and hammer it in to make a hole, then push the rod holder in.
