got this for my cat so while I was on vacation, I was able to make sure she was still being fed. I tested it out the week prior and I love being able to control it from my phone and be alerted at the times when the food is dispensed it is a very easy set up process and it has worked seamlessly so far and for the price point, it’s at you can’t beat that

Basic, but works great! My only complaint is that you can adjust the feeding portion but not the amount of portion. Our cat needs even less amount of dry food a day than one portion. The dispensed food loses its quality because of humidity if it is in the bowl too long.

I purchased this feeder a little over a year ago to help with feeding my cat last summer while in and out of our cottage a few days a week. This feeder works great we have not have a single issue with it since buying it. I do wish the scheduled times part was a little easier to use with more options. I found I ran out of “preset times” when really it was the same time 3x a day. Overall would recommend and purchase again.

The white one in the photo I bought for my cat, Kiwi when I had to go out of town for a few days. It connected easily and hasn’t given me any problems. My router is downstairs and I still have no problems with connectivity. I just use metronet, nothing fancy. Kiwi was living on his own for a few months after his owner dumped him in a neighborhood, so when I adopted him he had a pretty bad food insecurity and will overeat until he vomits. For this reason I wish you could set the portion smaller, the main portion it gives is about 1/6cup which is fine because Kiwi has had it for over a year eating from it twice a day and is still 10lbs. (4.5kg) I got a new kitten about a month and a half ago, she’s 3 months old today, her name is Mango. So it would be nice to set her portion a little smaller but it still works great and they both show on my app so I can control them separately if I choose. It can fit most of a standard food bag that you get from the store and so it lasts a few weeks before needing a refill. Along with their litter robot, my only concern when being out of town visiting family or for work is making sure their water fountain doesn’t get low. (I got a second cat to keep Kiwi company but also because she’s a calico) my only complaint is that it doesn’t allow you to set the portion smaller than 1. I think if I could I would feed them like .75 twice a day. Which would probably be like 1/8cup instead of 1/6 each time. I also like that the lid locks on well and needs to be twisted to open, I don’t have to worry that my cats are gonna figure out how to smack the lid off and gorge themselves.

Fortunately it works great for the portions my kitty was already having but that's definitely a limitation.Only let me down twice (once was user error, once was the app resetting itself randomly) in over a year. Recommended

I got this for our Monroe and it has been a game changer. No more looking for the scooper and daily filling the bowl multiple times. No more missing meal times if you out running errands or forgetful. It arrived fast and when I took it out the box it was easy to put together. People complained about not being able to see through it to know when you have to refill it but if you have a cat like mine that will motivate them to try to break in so I like the fact that you can’t. The lid is brown and to the cat it blinds in with food but to the human eye you can still see the food in it. Now to the pros, cons, and my guy’s reaction to this feeder.Pros: You fill it up and walk away. It can hold a lot of food depending on the size of food you use. So far I have only had to fill it 2 times since October and it’s December. The set up was easy to follow. However I had a hard time trying to download the app by scanning the QR code but the app they use is called Smart Life if you run into issues like I did. Once I downloaded the app I was able to connect everything very easily. The feeder gives notifications if it goes offline. So far I have not had any issues with the connectivity or the app glitching. I like that I can be anywhere and control the feeder. The backup batteries is a plus if you lose power your fur baby will still get to eat. You get to pick your portion size and the time it will be served which I love. You pick the portion size according to the weight you want your fur baby at. I want to keep him around 10-15lbs so my guy eats 1 portion 3 times a day (4:20am 12:20pm 8:20pm) you can always adjust the time, the portion size, and skip a meal if you need to. If you want to dispense a single portion all you do is hit the button on the app and Wala, the food drops. You get a log of every feeding the feeder gives on the app which is nice.Cons: difficulties trying to download the app maybe adding the name of the app or at least a picture of the app would be helpful on the instructions. My cat is very smart so he was able to remove the lid somehow and had a feast while we were gone. The lid has to be twisted to the right to close and this guy figured it out by watching me when I had to refill the feeder. So I had to tape the lid down. So maybe if they can have some type of locking mechanism for the to smart for they own good cats that would be great. Their is not a notification to let you know the food is low or the feeder needs to be refilled.Monroe reaction: I removed his normal food bowl and set this in the same place I would put his food bowl. When it first dispensed food at 12:20pm he ran then eventually came back and looked at it. He took to it after a few hours when he realized his food bowl was not coming back. The second feeding at 8:20pm he didn’t run but he just looked. By the third day he was adjusted to the schedule. He started stalking the feeder before it dispense the food. If the feeder does not dispense food because it is out my guy will definitely let you know he missed his meal lol. It’s safe to say he loves this feeder.
