While we're overall very, very pleased with this feeder, both with the manual and app operation of it I do need to mention that we found it has a bit of trouble with the large kibble sized dental food. When we first filled it exclusively with the dental it would not dispense. I thought it had burned out and was upset that it had done so soon after receiving it but we unplugged it for a while to see if that would reset it, no luck, then emptied it almost completely and put in some regular food. Sure enough after a few attempts to dispense, which I assume mixed up what dental diet was left in the hopper with the regular food, it began working again. So if you keep your cat's teeth healthy with dental kibble rather than alternating bags of regular and dental you're going to want to mix them together when using this feeder so it continues to dispense properly.I feel this is well constructed. I'm doing OK cleaning it. The cat hasn't figured out how to operate it yet so we're pleased.

I’ve been using this pet feeder now for about 2 weeks. I had a different pet feeder before that worked over WiFi as well but it had a smaller tank. With a 60 lbs dog, I wanted a larger tank on the pet feeder so that it doesn’t run out of kibble as quickly as the old one used to.Setup was a breeze - taking all of about 5 minutes. I plugged it in, got the app, and clicked the WiFi button on the face of the pet feeder and was able to see it recognized on my phone. It was that quick. I did a couple of test ‘feeds’ to figure out the feed to cup size comparison and then I used the app to set up scheduled feedings. That’s it.A couple of observations - the lid is latched on so it wont just slip off if you have a feisty pet; the bowl is stainless steel so it makes a decent enough clanging noise if you’re using kibble which might or might not be a good thing; and there is no camera - but that’s a bit tough to find at this price point. None of these observations are negative by the way.I really like this feeder because it just work and works well. If you really want to schedule different times and different feeds on different days, it might take you a bit of time to get it set up. If you’re doing an equal set of feedings at equal times of the day - every day, then this is super easy to set up and forget about. Except of course to refill the tank. It has a voice recording option as well but I’ve found that the kibble hitting the steel bowl is enough of a ‘bell’ that my dog stops everything he’s doing.

This thing is really awesome. I love how large the feeding tank is, and that the entire thing is linked to a mobile app. The app tells you pretty much everything you'd want to know. The last time your pet was fed, when the next feeding cycle is, etc. Of course, all these features require the app to ping the device which is where my biggest (and really only) grievance rears its ugly head:If, for any reason, your WiFi turns off, your food cycle will be skipped, delayed, or not get logged in the app. This is a huge design flaw, in my opinion. For a device designed to *automate* the feeding process, its not the best at that. Yes, it can feed your pets periodically at an interval of your choice but its very prone to failure. This makes it impossible for me to trust this thing enough to not have an emergency contact during a trip, for example.But, when it works, it works perfectly. Its very easy to set up (although the mobile app is required, there are no physical controls.) And very easy to clean, since the whole thing comes apart.

The functionality of this can be frustrating, the quality is okay and the set up was simple enough but the clasps on the side that hold it together are not very strong. So do not pick it up by the top! Especially while full! I had to relocate it several times and the results were ,as I said, frustrating. Pretty simple to clean and its functional for feeding but I just wish the quality was on parr.
